Modern Warfare 2 can suck it. THIS is what I'm waiting on.


You must not be familiar with the Battlefield series. That's what they were originally designed for. BF1942, BF:Vietnam, and BF2 (all PC only titles) all supported 64 players, and I do believe that Bad Company 2's PC version will receive the same treatment as past PC Battlefields. 64 players and less lag than that 18 player bullshit in MW2. I'm still pissed I spent $60 on that piece of crap.

I'm not sure how many players the console versions will support. I'm imagining MUCH less.
 
BFBC2 looks awesome, had it on the 360 and it was such a fun game,
iirc it was 18 or 24 players online and i will deffinately be buying the new one. i can imagine it being so hectic on pc
 
Never played these sorts of games before was always into car games, then someone introduced me to cod 4 and i got addicted still am. Not bought 6 though.

64 Players online at once that must be hectic lol Ps3 network on cod 4 is RUBBISH atm very poor connections / available games.
 
Techy....I'm on my second prestige on MW2. I've also been a lifetime fan of the Battlefield series. I've played the original 1943 online all the way up to 2142 on the PC. I played the last BFBC and I loved it. It just didn't feel realistic in any way. The lag on the servers was just as bad, most of the time, as Call of Duty is now. I hope.....I want to hope....that BC2 is as awesome as they're making it out to be.

i really enjoyed battlefield so i hope bad company 2 lives up to what it looks like.

As for MW2; i like the game, but the focus of the game around kill streaks and rewards has thrown the game in the wrong direction, full of campers; glitches and more 12 year old's with a mic than ever!! :(
 
COD is a n00b game, the only reason it's so popular is because it's a game designed so that ANYONE can pick it up and play it. Pretty much the reason I hate it.
Battlefield is one of the best games on the planet. Apart from the bugs in them which EA can't be assed to fix.
So far have over 6K dog tags on BFBC and looking to continue with the rampage on number 2.
The only thing that lets Bad Company down is the n00bs which come over from COD and use shotgun.

For thoughs getting this, some of the achievements have been voted for already, my fav is the one called "The Dentist" - Get a headshot with a drill, "Eat This" - Get a headshot with an RPG, "Sky Diver" - Kill an enemy while using the parashoot. There's also another one, can't remeber what it's called but it's get 50 kills with that thing you use to shock people to bring them back.

Your foolish comments about COD blow my mind. When they design a game they pour MILLIONS of combined hours into shaping the experience how they want it. COD:MW2 is played as intended online. "Noobs with shotguns/Noobs with sniper rifles/Noobs with noobtubes/Camping noobs"...
Guess what? YOU HAVE TO USE THE WEAPONS IN ORDER TO RANK FASTER. CAMPING IS NECESSARY TO GET KILLSTREAKS. HEARING SOMEONE COMING AND STOPPING AND WAITING FOR THEM AROUND THE CORNER IS NORMAL...EVEN IN REAL LIFE. Learn how to play the game properly! I'm with an MLG MW2 Hardcore Ladder clan...and we consistently beat face and we camp, run about, spam the 1887 shotguns and the winers rage quit. If you're not good....too bad, eh?
Edit: For the record I was a ****ing GOD on BF2142 on the PC...Top 500 snipers in the game...I spent over 20 some days worth of hours.
 
I am a noob then :) lol i enjoy cod but the comment about 12 year olds with mics is so true. When they start winging or singing whilst your playing very annoying. I am giving up playing online takes to much time up and i want to learn to play the guitar.

That game trailer does look very impressive though
 
I never said anything about n00b snipers, I love snipers, because i just collect their dog tags and they get pissed.
Sorry, but still stand by n00b people with shottys, because they're just point and fire on BC. My nan is blind in one eye and she could play Battlefield Bad Company with a shotgun. Requires no skill what so ever.
The fact that you base a game on real life makes no sence what so ever either. Spawn killing is not realistic. Spawning full stop is not even real. As you may no.
I also stand by my comment about MW2 being a n00b game aswell. My dad who has never played a game in his life can play MW2, but can't play BC. Yes they've spent millions making it blah blah blah, but it's still aimed at the people who just want to pick it up, run about and shoot people. Easy peezy.
 
Spawn camping is a product of the team (being spawned camped) failing at the round they're playing. If they used teamwork and proper tactics it wouldn't happen. I've spawned camped since I first started playing MPFPS's ....because if you suck....and I can kill you....then why the hell not? :))
Also, anyone can pick up a game and play it. Some people don't have the hand eye coordination to actually use a controller but that is besides the point. My dad, who never plays video games, RAPED at COD4. We're both in the military and I think he applied military tactics (as I do).

Remember something....there is nothing fair in love and WAR...

I completely agree about the kiddies but, amazingly, I actually had a kid get on....who was freakin cool as hell yesterday. He was our 6th man (we only had 5 clan members on) and he was pointing out targets and being very team oriented. .....he was also British...
 
Just wanted to make one thing clear.....I can't ****ing WAIT for BC:BC2.... :nerv:
 
Ditto, just a bit confused with when you talk about being an old skool Battlefield player, and spwan camping, well they eliminated it on 1943 and BF2.

BF2 most maps had uncapable home bases, and 1943 if you kill an enemy in their main spawn you got no points for it.
Rumor has it they're doing that in BC2 on conquest aswell.

Just wished they'd put planes on BC2, and bring back some old skool maps... like missile crisis.
 
Didn't realize there was no planes. I never used them anyway. In BF2, I always used choppers. I wasn't the best though. I usually liked to get in as the gunner while someone better took pilot. Your score skyrockets from that. Plus, it's super easy to kill people on foot like that.

Problem with BF2 was, after a certain point it was over patched. It's bullshit when a rocket doesn't destroy a Hummer in one hit. Before they over patched it, the damage was more realistic. It was around version 1.2 that I remember having the most fun.

I don't necessarily agree with what all Slip says but I hated MW2. I'm a long time fan of the original PC CoD games but MW2 was just garbage. The single player sucked. I didn't even touch the multiplayer cause they completely destroyed it. I just didn't have fun with it. It was stupid, the multiplayer wasn't worth playing, and it was overpriced. All it should have been was a $20 expansion pack and even then it wouldn't really be worth it.

That's why I'm also waiting on the Medal of Honor reboot. It looks like it's what MW2 should have been. I'm really hoping it brings back MoH: Allied Assault and CoD: United Offensive fun but in a modern setting.
 
BFBC had terrible lag on the xbox360. disgusting even. its why it never got particularly popular.

this new one looks amazing, but i cant see how theyre gonna make it any less laggy.

Hopefully, HOPEFULLLLLLYYYYY!!!!!! They'll make it like BF2:MC where you can pick the server YOU want to join, which has the lowest ping.
 
As far as I know, the PC version of BC2 has dedicated servers. DICE kept an eye on MW2 and when they saw the huge backlash from the PC players about the lack of dedicated servers, they made sure to have dedicated servers in BC2. It's possible that the console versions will get dedicated servers too.
