im looking to offer b & k series engine looms. they will be tested, with braided sheathing and the option for mil spec bulkhead connectors. Obviously the option to incorporate other sensor wiring into the loom at the same time will be available.
Just looking to get an idea of demand before I dive in buying crimpers (£400 a pair )

Sounds like a great idea, but I think that a true UK PRA ECU k-swap harness would get more demand!!!

That's what I'm going to start with. In reality I think mil spec requests will be few and far between.
The k20 harness is a scruffy thing from OEM, so a tidy and sort of that should be relatively inexpensive.
I should have a basic k20 & b18 done shortly .
So this is my weekend :)

Its more the fact that the K-tuned / Hybrid racing etc are all made for the US market and run wideband o2 so we have to change them to work with a narrowband and there doesn't seem to be much info on this!!!! I have repined mine so it works but the Kpro will not switch the o2 heater relay (ecu pin E8) did you get yours to work ?

I would be interested in a nice race spec engine loom for my K-series DC2, I also like the look of the Rywire stand alone harness with relays and flying wires etc but their stuff is a bit pricey especially with the exchange rate these days

I think @ted777 may be interested in something similar price dependant

Do they do full engine harnesses or just the swap part?
On the swap it never affected me as I had a jdm ecu. I'm going to start with standard harnesses and then go from there. I may do kswap harnesses and maybe even a replica of the Hondata race harness ( which negates the need completely for any kswap harness at all) but again really depends on demand.

I'll get these few done so I can work out best way of routing etc and then post some pictures.

Agreed, the exchange rate has smashed the market really. It's going to be cheaper to get quite a bit in the U.K. than the us for a while I think

They just do the swap part I think, a clean engine harness would be cool my brother had to lengthen my harness so it would fit correctly, I have turbo'd mine so wanted to keep the wires away from the heat!!!

When you say the hondata race harness are you referring to this

If so I could be interested, I was planning on making my own when the time comes, but was curious as to weather or not the diagram was correct for a ukdm ecu

Yes. I'm going to look at making it a plug and play loom.

I'm making one anyway for the eg, but mine will be even simpler due to not running 02 sensors.

Even just a loom with labelled tails would be good,
Are you going to use a wide band with gauge and input to ecu? Or just run full time open loop?

I'll just run it open loop.

For the harness I could do a pretty simple harness with all of the relevant pins(on e plug for example) and power connections built in for the relays so you just tap it onto the battery?

I'd be interested in doing away with all the interior wires and fuse box if you could make something just to run the essential bits:)

That sounds good, I'm a long long way off needing a harness, but I like to plan ahead!

Same with me, all would I need is a simple race harness with relays to run a k20, KPro ECU, I don't use O2 sensors, then no interior accessories apart from the clocks, a 12v dash blower, oil temp gauge and my front and rear lights

I would imagine that there would be a good market for that type of loom

Had a good look at different options today and tbh the range I can offer should pretty much cover most people's budgets.
So I can get an idea of what people would be happy to spend do any of you an idea of budget in mind.

the first products I'll concentrate on are.

Refurbished OEM loom:
All connectors and pins tug tested and visually inspected. Pins replaced if necessary. Loom stripped and re-assembled with braided sheath and heat shrink ends.

New OEM loom.
The only thing used will be fully checked plugs, the rest will be brand new. Mil spec cable, OEM crimps, braided sheath and heat shrink ends.

Custom loom
Your design of length and configuration. Options will include heat protection heat shrink, Nomex braided sheathing, cable identifiers, bulkhead connectors.
Again until I can find a quality source used OEM connectors will be used.

Hondata "race" loom
Any of the above configured with correct pin outs and relays for race loom.(will require some connections in car)

Any and all comments are appreciated, the last thing I want to do is commit £1k+ in bits to find people only want to pay 60p ha ha :)

Can you give us an idea of what the likes of the Hondata type race loom would be? Complete with all the bits needed to run the basics that we need in a stripped Kswap race car

Cable identification would be a good idea and something that is well protected so that it's reliable in race conditions

Would we need to send you the OEM kseries loom and the ECU harness etc so that you can use all of the plugs? I have the car out on track next Saturday then it won't be out again until the start of the 2017 season

I honestly don't know yet ref cost, although I think it should be sub £400. I'll be making mine over the next week(ish) so I'll have a better idea once that's done.

Im planning on purchasing and making looms, but would offer money for yours should you wish to send to me.

I'm looking into cable identification as the printers look hella expensive.
