As Kieran said above.

If you have 15-20grand to throw about contact 4pistons and you can get a 500+ whp n/a engine.

I know about them, still want to know if any one have gone far like them, and what mods they have done..

Depends on how much money you got to spend :) hehee

This is one of those how long is a piece of string questions and there is no straight answer but it all comes down to money

If your looking for the highest hp and torque for a certain amount of money then there is no replacement for displacement

A high compression k24 with big cams and the right breathing mods will make the most power.
You should be able to make 350bhp NA spending a few thousand or if you want to spend £10k+ on just the engine then 400bhp-500bhp NA is possible but it would be a drag car and not a reliable every day driver

Bare in mind the 4piston motor everyones referencing will be running purely on methanol and is really not a street engine or even a road race engine really.
Fantastic technical achievement but not really in the context of the question i feel.
Afew grand as a budget. So lets say 2.5k
B18 probably around 240ish
K20 maybe 260ish

Few grand wouldn't get you very far tbh.
whats wrong with turbo? Don't get me wrong high revving high powered na engines sound mega, but they don't have **** on turbo cars.

Agree with this. Alot of poeple have a strong romance with NA, which is cool but turbo really is the way forward imo.
A low boost turbo setup feels very much like a large NA engine anyway, with the added benifit of being able to increase the boost at the flick of a switch when you want to blow off ferraris etc.
I think NA has an "old skool" cool vibe about it now, esp with Bseries.

Agree with this.

If you want a lot of power go turbo, if you want the so cool noise and old school fashion go N/A with ITB on a B series.
