Matt's Facelift EK9.

Thanks for the comments..

This week i've been able to get a few more bit's done to the car.

-Valve clearances reset
-New spark plugs
-New 8mm HT leads
-Fit new rocker cover
-Reset the base idle speed
-Reset the ECU
-Carry out the idle learn procedure
-Fit a set OEM locking wheel nuts that i had in my toolbox.

Great updates, Very OEM+ You got any more plans?

Thanks mate.

I do have a few plans but only subtle ones. I'm looking at getting some spoon springs, hardrace front and rear camber arms, new steering wheel and have the front bumper and lip painted to tidy up the stone chips. My aim is to keep it looking as near standard as possible.

Look forward to more progress. What dials do you have infront of the gearstick?

Cheers...There's an SPA oil temperature, oil pressure gauge and a VDO coolant temperature gauge. These were fitted by the previous owner.

Here's a couple of pictures of them.

This morning I gave the car a clean and wax.

All the wheels were removed, cleaned and given a coat of wax as well.

I also gave the rear arches a fresh coat of waxoil as some had chipped off.

I got a few more bits done to the car over the last few days..

I've replaced the amber side repeaters with some clear ones.

Fitted a modified standard airbox.

I've also bought some Spoon lowering springs but I've decided not to fit them, going to stay with the standard setup.

Today I got a few bits done to the car:

- Removed the decat and fitted an OEM cat.

- Replaced the air filter for a Simota one.

- Replaced the clutch fluid.

- Removed all the wheels and cleaned them inside and out.

- Washed and polished the car.

Super super clean, love it man, less is definitely more in this case,

After work I gave the car a an oil and filter change, using 05w-40 oil and also changed the gearbox oil, using MTF3.

I doubt anything more will be done to the car till march/april next year.

I'll just be spending my time keeping it clean through the winter months.
