ls/vtec vs type r

i was just wondering which one is best?? right now i have a ls v this is why i asked?

there are many variations of an ls/vtec what head are you using? what cams? etc...

and which type R motor are you referring to? b16b or B18c-r?

either way a b16b or b18c-r will have more topend power becuase of the head/cams and higher compression.

im using a b16 head..with gsr cams right now..but think about getting some itr i found for 200..also have b16b pistons from a engine that threw a rod bearing. thinking about putting them in also

the main problem with ls/v is unless you have it all balanced and blue printed its kind of risky to rev past 7500rpm since there is no crank girdle or oil squirters on the LS block.

i dunno im more into RR so i think about high rpm for prolonged periods, if your just drag/street it should be fine.

yea thats what i was thinking since here in Texas there are only straight rodes
so we drag race really wish we had a circut
