Ok well i'm looking into this can somone give me a COMPLETE list of what is needed to swap into an EK4 or 9 i presume it's the same ...

i can't seem to find a propper list anywhere i was going to drop a b18 in it but mite aswell go for the full k20 ...

and is there a K20 with box that has LSD ? don't fancy running a k20 without it.

A/C and P/S not needed ... just the base parts please.

cheers lads

ah yeh i see, so i defo need the DC2 subfame and Rack ?

what about suspension parts will all the standard EK4 stuff fit ? i dont see the point in the 5 lug conversion to be fair so just wondering .

For EKK2 mounts you do, which are really the only ones that make it useable, I've heard.

Well my EK has a DC2 subframe and rack and we fitted EK9 suspension to it, it also has a rusty 5 stud conversion, I think it's just the rear LCA which is incompatible for EK suspension on a DC2.

Be sure to get all the bolts that come with the DC2 parts (rack, subframe, forks, lca) as not all the EK bolts are compatible.

JDM K20's are equipped with LSD's as well as more hp :D

You can find some good deals... I can get you everything you need plus motor/trans setup for your car and ship it all at once... Shoot me an email and I can help you out :)

K20a does have lsd as well as the US K20z3 (out of the US SI)

Hybrid Racing - – K-series swap parts list

That list is for an EG, I think the only difference for an EK is you need EKK2 mounts which mean you need a DC2 subframe and rack. Could be wrong though.

True, but you can use the stock subframe on the ek as well.

You need the bolts, subframe, lower control arms, and steering rack. Everything will fit with or with out 5 lug.

Ek2 mounts are not totally necessary, but it does allow for more ground, radiator to manifold, hood, and header clearance. So better all around if you can find a a rhd eg/dc rack/subframe. (which here in the US is pretty hard to come by lol, but not sure for you guys)

Depends on where your from as to how 'cheap' it can be done. Plenty of people will tell you it can always be done cheaper, most are full of it, the parts list soon adds up, swap parts you need, other parts you have to replace now or soon after (clutch, engine, gearbox items if you purchase an old or abused engine by mistake to save money) and then stuff your greedy eyes see that you have to have, labour is a pittance against the parts cost even if you use a garage.

True. You can save money by getting the steel mounts, level 0 axles, using and OEM radiator, basic fuel setup, immobilizer (or in your case a type r ecu), etc. There are ways to save money on the swap. We have been doing the K swap for about 8 years now and are trying so hard to make this more affordable to everyone, but no loose quality. Our parts aren't cheap for a reason. We only want to sell the best, not cheap, copied products. I could go on, but if you want it done, please do it right the first time. You will thank me, trust me.... and the K is just so pretty
