Best technique for applying 2k Clear coat over Base coat + flash times etc?

hi all just wondering what is your technique in applying your 2k clear coat once you base coat has flashed and is cured

i tend to dust/dry spray on my base coat to iv good coverage, what ever amount of coats it takes, once its flashed i tack cloth the surface then get ready to apply my clear coat,

i try all sorts of methods but want to perfect just the one

i no base coats dry to a matt finish this is to allow clearcoat to stick/attac good,iv been told wet sanding base coats is not good idea, being metaalic/pearl

so i never wet sand my base

do yous dust on a skift/dust of clear coat over panel and wait to to its flashs/tacky then gives it a good full wet coat and let it flash/then give a final good full finished coat of clear coat

or do you start by full giving 3/4 wet coat of clear coat then let flash followeded by another good full wet clear coat to finish

also do yous add thinners to your clear coat and hardner mix??

i usually mix 2:1 clear to hardner and spray

but if its very warm 18 degrees+ id add 10% thinner so flow out better

what is Flash time for general 2K clear coats?

i tend to have to wait for about 45mins for it to flash, far too long

also what kinds/manufacturers of clear coats do use tend to use??
iv tryed alot and havnt got acostumed to 1 yet

upol 2k clear

Besa bernardos clear 2k

havnt tryed max meyer or clostermann clear

i tend to be getting runs even tho i havnt applied an overly thick amount of clear coat

seems to flow out and be perfect for about 5-10 minutes then any time after that the runs start to develope and clearcoat seem to flow for around 20-25mins before start to flash

seems to be flowing out for far too long,

maybe i need few heaters and bring shed temp to 25 degree's?

usually paint at about 14-16 degrees

painting with a devilbiss FLG-5 at 2bar 1.4mm tip,
dont have gun long so suppose mite take getting used to,
used it few times

another question out of the blue my Dad came back the other day with a

Palinal Multicryl expensive thinner 1/2 litre in a paint jar

i think he got it for mixing with base coat 2:1

what is it used for ??is it a fade out thinner

can any thinners be used as a fade out thinner for base coat into existing?

also after the clear coat is cured i tend to flatten the paint with p1500 wet/dry,
and then compound with 3M fastcut greentop to bring it up with alittle water,
but after compounding im still left with not as glossy as id like and slight swirl marks,
i tend then to go over with autoglm paint renovater with machine polisher,
seems to bring paint back up well

but i was told to maybe use 3M machine glaze after 3m fastcut compounding and this would bring my paint back to nice glossy swirl free finish

or should i buy 3M perfect it III ultrafina se compound/polish
to bring my paint back to nice glossy swirl free finish after compounding with fastcut?
