A guy in the states has taken the gold plating to ridiculous levels on his em1 (can see it Rob vraceworks on Facebook/Instagram). I'm all for unique but definitely not my cup if tea.. Strange use of money!

Ps Lee I really like the rear end of your car, I was looking for a nice lip spoiler for years, tried the e46 m3 one but found it too subtle.

Cheers Steve ! I was after the style of eg9 rear end
And think she is very close to eg9 .

Ye I ran with no spoiler for good while as it was hard
To find a spoiler that I liked on the coupe .
Yeah the m3 rear lip/spoiler are quite small ,
The eg9 spoiler is perfect, it's just spot on imo ,
And I was lucky enough to get hold of my one as
It was a eg9 spoiler custom fitted to the coupe ,
I believe the guys that done it had it lazor cut to fit ,
Funny story too it , a local lad had won a competition
From the sun newspaper, and he won 10 grand to have his car done , icetronix done all the work to his car ,engine swap everything,
The lad ran out of talent on b road , hence me ending up
With the spoiler, here is the car when it was done

I was also after the carbon fibre side skirt but they never made it out of the ditch lol

Not much mate , just doing wheel bearings and silly stuff ,
Not worth a post really.
But iv done all I can for now , so it's just maintaining her now and have bit of fun ,
Put the cat back on also , I do miss the roar ,
But driving her and not having everyone hear her is
Good , also went down a tyre size from 195 55 16 to
195 50 16, no more rubbing of the archs at all .
So just keep her road worthy and up to spec .

What a day I had yesterday!
Doing my nsf wheel bearing and the drive shaft would
Not come out of hub ,
My next door neighbour, a (mechanic)? Gets a big hammer and slaps the sh#t out of it , I'm shouting at him now ,
Had to bring hub with shaft to a mates garage,
Got shaft out, but the 32 nut will not go on ,
So I had to cut 3 odd ml of top of cv joint,
About a hour latter got the nut to take ,
So now the cv is not sitting flush with nut , about 3 treads from end of nut ,
DO YOU THINK IT'S SAFE ?

Joys. If you can't get the locking bit of the nut to work then it's probably not that safe.
Although I'm sure you can get outer cv instead of the whole shafts.

Yeah jesse iv marked it , but my oem 32 nut did not have threads on the last bit , where you knock it in ,
The new nut that came with bearing has threads on the whole nut , if you get me ?
Making it look a lot worse,
DO YOU THINK A LITTLE SPOT WELD WOULD SORT IT?

the nut that's on it now

And this is what my shaft is like but say 3 more ml shorter

Looks sketchy. I'm sure a spot weld would stop the nut from trying to turn. Are you confident you've got enough threads on to hold the shaft in?
If you do it I'd only do it as a stop gap until you can sort it properly.

Yeah I'm gonna get oem nut , the nut that's on it now is longer,
But yes if the oem not is not any better,
A new cv is the only answer,
Thanks jesse ,

This is an awesome build fella, top work! Love a bit of carbon, will need to get myself some haha
