I'm seriously looking at buying this kit for my DC2 but I want to keep my 15inch slipstreams.. I got away with regamasters and spoon calipers and a 3mm spacer on my ek9, but is the extra 4mm in disc size going to be to much for a 15inch rim? your opinions and experiences please.

Dave, have a look at the Yellow Speed 286mm kit. A guy has them in Portugal and his other car is this - he really rates the Yellow Speed on his track EG…

The Wilwood Superlite kit we sell would fit behind 15" wheels with 298.5x32mm 2 piece discs. They were immense and could take so much abuse with them being 32mm thick.

I've been looking at wildwood kits, I need them to fit behind my 15" wheels, do you know where the best place is to buy the kit for my EK9?

Freaky parts sell them bud....
If I had spare cash and a working engine I'd be after the willwood kit. The extra disc capacity is the winner over the yellow speed or spoon calipers.

Can you explain the differences please?

I couldn't tell you the difference in the calipers themselves, the piston size in the caliper and pad area are quite important, esp to how the brakes "feel"
The bigger discs are better for displacing the heat, the extra 16mm(over stock 282) should help put more torque against the wheels as they are further from the centre.
Black arts brake calculator should be able to put this into numbers that mean something.

And again. I was trying to keep unsprung weight to a minimum, so went with this set up. I might try the larger disc at a later date as I probably have the clearance.

Do they supply a larger disc with this kit then?

Tight squeeze behind 15"?

I think you'd struggle with an OEM wheel. There was a little breathing space with the 296 brembos I had previously. Will definitely require measuring before buying though.
