Kanjo

I don't have a civic currently.. but when i do it'll be an EG or EF this time..

I'm doing it Kanjo Style..... care about what people think. i always say to people " do what you love not what is known to be cool, do what you think is cool "

I think this is cool and i ******* love it, so i'm doing it.. Come 2014 Japfest... I would absolutely love it if some of you guys got involved.

Yeh i know we don't have the roads to do it, or the massive culture that follows it.. But who cares.. just think it'd be funny to see even just 4 - 5 civic like these sitting on a stand at japfest, I'll bet they would get more attention ( not the reason to do it though lol ) than all the showy showy stance "JDM" **** that seems to have become the norm now... Its weak and is not the reason i got into car's let alone civics..

Saving up and i'm doing this.. :win: honestly had enough of so many wank looking car's.. I've always been one to drive my car hard and use it all the time, if i buy a car to admire and keep in the garage it certainly wouldn't be a civic... it'd be an E-type or something of the sort.. Civic's are made to be driven hard.. Vtec is hardly a pop into town engine :D

Come on you know it makes sense..i can't be the only one sitting here with my jaw on the floor at some of these pictures..

ha, after skim reading for spelling, this sounds like a rant.... its really not lol.

Actually, driving my 9 to the town and leaving it in Asda car park has helped a great deal in achieving the Kanjo look :D In the past year a van reversed into my driver's door, I just told the poor guy to go, the door is rusted at the bottom anyway... Someone with heavy door and careless attitude put a dent in the rear right quarter, and my neighbor accidently dropped a piece of brick on the roof (yes, you read that correctly!) So when you add all that to the dents and scratches I bought the car with, all it is missing from becoming a proper Kanjo style wagon is a few stickers, non matching set of wheels with some uber cool semi-slicks and a hockey mask :D And a rattle can of white paint for the big ADVAN writing on the tyres. There were times when I was thinking of sorting all the bodywork and paint out. Made up my mind a while ago - no money will be spent on bodywork unless essential. All money will go towards making the car more trackable!

Don't know where i'll find the money right now though mate :( might ask to borrow some and work on it over the next year or so.. Hmmm :nerv:

Haha sounds like you got yourself a nice Kanjo racer in the making..

Lol i hope people don't think i'm going to make a civic "LOOK" Kanjo style... It will be a Kanjo racer :D Loud, obnoxious and rude as **** :D

In the best of both worlds i'd like an EG or EF kanjo Beast and an Absolutely MINT EK9 that is completely OEM with nothing in the way of mods at all..

Yeah, I would love another EK9 that would be 100% stock and mint! That was my initial plan with mine, to make it that way, but then I realized that if I do it I will not want to drive, just in case something happens. May not have a 9 at all then! So I did exactly the opposite, decided that no matter what it looks like it is still an EK9 and it was built to be driven hard! I keep telling myself that all the scuffs and rough edges actually give it a soul, you can tell the car has a bit of history behind it. :) On a different note - at less than £200 you should buy it and just keep it SORN'd until you have the money to throw at it! Worst comes to worst you will always be able to sell it for that much again, just make sure it is not rusted through and through and you are good to go! :)

Spot on dude :D rather an EK9 that drives well and looks a bit tatty than a Mint one that never gets driven... thats what museums are for :D

sound advice mate, might do just that ;)

haha oh dear better watch yourself man !

And some more why not :p

love them wheels

^ that's not a million miles from stance really is it.
Abit too much camber and stretchy tyres.

It nice how time attack and kanjo styles are so similar...Modern day hot rods

i think that is why i and others are so drawn to it.. kinda like time attack for road use ( which obvisouly doesn't real make sense ) but still i think thats why it is so appealing..

in that video at 0:37 - that is one of the lowest seating positions i have seen lmao

Sorry Topher what have i done to you haha :p

Lmao, all good dude :D
