Currently have an accord type s, completely standard.
I'm looking at upping the performance a bit (if not, I'll be changing cars! Keep nosing at stageas or legacy gtbs)

I've read about VTC mods, ecu swaps etc.

Most stuff is about k24a2 engines, are these the same?

Any advice on routes to take...? :)

Yea most of the American forums talk about the K24a2, think these are practically the same as our accord type s engines K24a3.

As for tuning K20a head, rrc intake manifold, header, type r oil pump to remove balance shafts, upgrade injectors and tune.....

Piles of Americans tuning K24s with good figures etc.

There is alot that can be done to the K24A3, i am just about to go down the Flashpro route myself. Depends what you want from the car? if your after more acceleration then dont worry about the RRC inlet mani too much, if however you just want big numbers then its a good mod. I am going to sort the Suspension and Geo out first then some subtle mods, intake exhaust and maybe a intake cam, your knocking on 220-230, thats with a good map done by a proper tuner, not 2 hours. Dont give up on her yet. What suspension are you running? also if you have your original shocks, would you like to sell them or let me borrow them for a price? i have some development work to do.

The car is bone stock type s pre facelift.

I'd lend you my shocks, but I need the car daily and can't have it off the road! Sorry!

Handling isn't my biggest concern currently, I don't find it all that bad (for what it is). Brakes on the other hand are shockingly bad...

I like the comfort and refinement on stock set up, I just want a bit more go from it!

K20A2 head, drop in drag cartel cams, a proper K header, 2.5/3inch mani back exhaust system and remap, decent intake, easy pushing 250@fly

as i know k20a2 head can't be putted with oem k24a3 pistons as the valves will kiss the pistons.... don't they?
