Lift the vtec point to 6000 and it should fix the problem. You can use any header and intake as long its tuned to match especially on a stock engine, so I dont think thats the problem.

Lifting the vtec point won't solve the problem

What happened in the end?
did you get it sorted out with the manifolds?

Still not done Alan, a Hytech sat on the shelf awaiting time & money, funds have been ploughed into racing instead :nice:

Thanks, car is running well and racing this year in the CSCC 'Sports V Saloons' series (15 & 20 minute races), and 'Tin Tops' series (40 minute races) :drive:
