Right there are probably loads of threads that answe some of my questions on here sorry if im baffling.. but I would just like to ask... As I am seriously looking into going K Swap. But don't want this to be more hassle than its worth and becoming a chore as it will be done at home with a mate who has done a kSwap into an EG.
Now, I've read countless threads, people saying its hard and people saying its a doddle (maybe covering up problems they have had)
But I'd just like to know the truths. I've done some research and always looking about and reading threads.
I just wondered if anyone has come accross problems when doing the Kswap into an EK9 and what they are!? And the pitfalls in doing the swap or if you have had an easy stress free one!?
Also.. Do you need a DC2 steering rack? As someone mentioned to me you do!
And exactly everything as to what you need. If you could list it exactly so the engine would just be ready to drop in. Would be great!
Cheers in advance!

Ill see if I can hoke out the list. I'm nearly sure I bookmarked it.

I have parts here to get you started.

Mounts
Rad
Hoses etc. check my breaking thread if your interested mate :)

Nice one thanks mate. My swap is going into a 9 mate! So some parts may not fit? But yes may well be interested!

Also got some parts up for sale you could use buddy!

IIRC the DC2 rack sits the engine better in terms of clearance up top. It also provides a more natural angle for the driveshafts.

Someones that actually done it will be better advised than moi!

You only use dc2 rack with ekk2 mounts which mean you use eg/ dc2 subframe ,lower arms, and forks

It's easy enough to do
Pads of guides online
I've typed out a full list of what is needed on a topic someone has mentioned already

Thanks for all the help guys keep all
Your comments coming. More help the better!

Oh and if anyone would like to write the most compatable parts for a 9 to do the swap. I.e mounts, headers ect. Would be appreciated!

If you need any help with the swap mate give me a shout I'm only at Staffham. More than willing to help. It's all the little parts you need that all add up. It's not cheap but def think its worth it especially with a 9. Tuning potential after the swap is so good as well.
