just wondering if you have to use a kswap manifold or can you just use a normal k series manifold as i have seen a toda for an ep3/dc5 come up and im thinking about doing a kswap so will this manifold be ok to use for the swap?

thanks

Never actually tried to fit a OEM k20 exhaust to kswap car.

I'm guessing it will not fit - my brother has a ekk2 kswap'd ek9, even with a kswap exhaust manifold it's quite close to the eg subframe.

Thanks mate but does anyone else know? If not what's the skunk2 kswap manifollds like?

You need a specific Kswap manifold. The SK2 makes good power and is one of the few to fit with your abs pump I believe. Lots of choices available now though.

what all manifolds is there available now mate?

i only know of the skunk2, hybrid racing, dc sports and tegiwa

whats the best manifold for the kswap?

i have a dc sports one going for cheap but it needs repairing at the flange, but i recommend changing the flange anyway as it's only a 1.5" exit i believe. pm me for details

hi thanks i think i am going to go for a skunk2 manifold when i start my project

The 'best' manifold will likely depend on your budget, if you go custom make sure it is from a proven builder, good torque/hp with an even power curve. The DC sports is a budget manifold, plenty of others, and some copies, it makes decent gains even with a 2" collector, it uses cheap flexi though (not reinforced) and will probably fail at some point, sooner rather than later.

K-Tuned have at least three to choose from, others to name a few, RCrew, SSR, Hytech etc.

Skunk 2 seems like the best "off the self" header on the market ATM IMO.. i say Go for it!
Hytech are probably THE best you can get... But cost double a S2 and they are made to order.
The manifolds Haitch mentioned are good value headers... R-Crew, Hybrid, K-tuned all get respect from the tuners in America.

To be honest theres no point spending that extra couple hundred for a few extra horses when you can make that elsewhere.. i.e Building gearbox or investing in some cams!
So just buy whatever suits your budget, don't need to go too overboard!

PS. I'm running custom tubular manifold at 247BHP 192FTLB from Solid Fabrications
Alan168 has a Hybrid Racing header running 252BHP 176FTLB
Same Mods Same Dyno.
