Sorry the pics are a bit rubbish took them in a hurry and couldn't get far enough away for a good side on shot as I ended up walking into walls.

Progress so far:

Lowering springs: fitted when I bought the car, about as low as I can currently go as the end of my drive is like one massive speed bump.

New air filter: Just a halfords one I was planning to get a nice performance panel filter but after checking while I was parked up and finding it to be totally black decided to get one there and then.

Polish with Auto Glym super resin polish to help look after that nice shiny paint a bit.

£2 tax disc holder (woo pushing the boat out there but at least its simple and not a tacky special)

To do: fit my sony ipod head unit (as nice as the standard gathers headunit is it cant quite match my ipod for selection)

See my friend who works in a bodyshop for a bit more polish and some proper waxing. :)

And thats it for now probably will be for a while as insurance company has told me not to mod it. Although ill be looking out for a spoon N1 when I can afford it :p

Thanks for reading hopefully Ill get some better pictures up soon.

My insurance wasn't to bad in the end (see my post in Insuring in EK9 at 20 in the insurance section) shame it gets really difficult when you try to mod it but I guess they have their reasons.

Looks awesome man. Love the stance:cool:. All the best with it:nice:

Yeah im pretty pleased with it want to check the camber and little bit to close to the ground on the mid box when I go over my drive but I just about manage with just me in it :), just gonna take it nice and easy and get used to her. Planning on getting to lots of meets and will be heading round brands when I can afford it as its only 5mins from my house :)

Cool, i am glad you managed to get it on your drive OK. Glad to hear you are up for getting it on Brands Hatch.
All the best, Duncan

Yeah got a bit worried about halfway over but was all ok in the end. Brands is so close I dont really have an excuse now :) so hopefully some time ill get round to it just try and learn abit more about the car first :))

Looks great man, what lowering springs are on it if you don't mind me asking?

Another minter from Dunx! Congratulations man, looks like a beautiful example you've got there!

looks like a mint example.. best of luck with it!

Looks very clean mate..

Nice to see another C/W EK9 on the block

Lol thanks guys. @kaks yeah I know cw is common but I liked it the most and ive yet to see another one around my area so it's all good for now :p

As of yet I don't actually know as they were already on the car, Duncan may be able to enlighten us here but if I manage to find out when I have the wheels of to clean then Ill let you know, seem ok to me so far tho what ever they are (except a very nice security guard at work let me go out the exit as I would not have got over the speed bump at work :S hope that I won't have an issue with that). Allpart of the fun tho.

:thanks: for all your nice comments im very happy with her :)

Well I haven't done much here lately so here's a few updates...

2009-10-31104403.jpg

I've given the car an oil change with Castrol Magntex 10w 40 and a ADL blueprint filter I also ordered a set of blueprint pads front and rear as I knew the rears were getting low. Will probably keep the fronts till next spring/summer when I change the oil again as they still have plenty of meat on them at the moment. I think these are perfect for daily road use and very good value for money. I will buy a set of pad's specifically for future track outing's which wont be used on the road.:drive:

While I was under the car I took look at the engine mounts and they were beginning to look slightly worse for wear so I though it would be a good idea to try and get my hands on a set. Fortunately Duncan had a uprated set just removed from another car which fit the bill perfectly as I planned to uprate them for a more track orientated feel but I'm not sure how much I will like the stiffer mounts and how much vibration they will cause so didn't want to splash out too much incase I decided to buy a new OEM set.

Here they are I haven't found any markings on them so I'm not sure what brand they are any one with idea's on how to find out let me know.

I also received another package on the same day as my engine mounts

I had always planned on getting a spoon N1 at some point and when this came up I just had to have it :nerv: Impulse buying again, I will fit this at the same time as my new engine mounts.

Here's a question for you all anyone seen these before?
STA60042.jpg

Found them while cleaning the interior of my car they are all the same on both sides.

Last but not least I did say I would get some better pictures up so here they are not as good as some people but its just a compact camera.

Took these after giving her a quick wash typically for Britian just as I was taking these it started raining so most of my work got undone again when I went out *sigh*

This one I took on my phone while out with a few mates not the best quality but as good as it got with the phone. Think it came out well.

Hope you all like it.
