I would say come up to mine & i would do it with you but it's a little bit of a long way for you travel!:D

That is extremely kind of you, i had a check and it is super far :angry2: haha

Would of loved that too, as i would of also learned something.... oh well :(

We need a BIG meet somewhere in the middle. Or at santapod or something like that :nice:

The Big meet is a defo for me !!! - Please arrange this when I am home from offshore !! Im down seeing Will VERY soon so mayb we could arrange a lil meet then ???

Me & will have been talking about arranging a central EK9.org me for everyone to attend, think we need to start putting some plan's together!:secret:

Seconded.!!

To be fitted to a UK DC2.....mugen intake, JDM 4-1, hi flow cat & spoon street system! Similar spec to the tuned car really...

Given that the UK cars are quoted as 187hp atfw stock, i would have thought I/H/E mods with a mapped ECU would perhaps give a healthy gain in power/torque given JDM cars are already 10BHP ahead as standard (Better header & map)

It all comes down to the dyno lottery. Over on itr-dc2, the consencus reckon on 145-155atw on a Dyno Dynamics RR for a stock DC2!, with gains on that for tuned cars.

It really would be great to see some before/after comparisons of the same car pre hondata tune (stock ECU) & then after mapping on Hondata.....same day & same RR as that is the only way to truly quantify any "gain" IMO.

I have always been a sceptic with RR figures. I accept that gains can be made with breathing mods & mapped to suit, but when the standard engine is making ~100bhp/litre I cant see the gains being big without more RPM, compression or displacement.....

Very impressive result nonetheless:nice:
 
relly good results. your car must shift!. A vid would relly help show jsut how quick it is. Private road of course.

I agree with every thing you have said there mate!
We would have done a befor & after comparison, but due too time we did not get round to it!
I already have a graph on hear from befor i had it tuned (stock ECU) on a diffrent RR, i will be going back to that RR in the next week or so for a power run so we can see a true comparison!:nice:

The b18c is a much better motor, but the 0-60 times don't seem to add up. Vids of the b18 show it's faster off the line then the b16b but yet the 0-60 is slower. Does anyone have official figures of the JDM 0-60 b18c, cause i can only find figures for the UKDM.
Or can anyone post their won 0-60 times?

I think what it is, clocks dont always tell the whole story, some clocks are out etc etc...

The B18C will be faster to any speed, the higher the speed i believe the bigger the difference....

0-60MPH is a hard one as its pretty hard to beat an EK9 with B16B to 60MPH as they are very quick, the true power will shine more once you get in 3rd gear onwards....
 
0-100MPH in 10 seconds!!!!!

When I hit the rev limited my car seems to thud more than just bounce of the limiter...why is that?

Also, how come you have a shift light? Part of the Hondata?
