Jimbobs' B18c EK9 Hondata Tuned + VIDs

the spec is quite mild but the power is wild:bow:

seriously, before you put up the spec of jimobs car i was expecting it had head work or something,

thats awsome:)

ahhh... wanted to get this done by WIll last year . . .on my b16b though . o_O. .
all this tuning etc is just pushing me closer to giving you a call WIll...
congrats either way

I think that kind of figure has pretty much convinced me what a bit of "tuning" can do on the B18C... I have all the mods to bolt on, now need the engine and ECU...

220-230BHP would be pretty much what im looking for.... And what a result for what i would call a mild set up..... (stock internals etc)

That is pretty spectaculer. Im sure thats matching power outputs of some K20 set ups with similar mods??

Someone has changed their tune on the B18C eh Dan :wow:

Dont see how that would match a K20 with the same mods, unless you mean tuned B18C vs stock K20?

What can be expect on B16B Will with intake, header, muffler and Hondata tune? Not keen on removing decat for MOT purposes.

Wondering if I should bother with the B16B or just save for the B18C.

Can you PM me pricing details too?

Thanks.

Thoughts JimBob?

Looks like B18C totally owns B16B?

Yeah thats my B16B on the stock graph too which is an extremely healthy engine. Maybe Will can remind me of the compression results as I've forgotten them, d'oh.

Jimbob's car sounds fantastic, i'll have to get a ride in it next time!

So yea.. how much are B18's then....? :D

Dude, I told you hondata and tuning was worth it! We're you liking the look of the trick parts in my workshop?.. you know I can hook you up with all the best parts if you decide to take it further in the future. 200whp is a very FAST car for now though, I'm sure youll be very happy with that for a while to come.
You know i will take it further in the future mate, it will just come as & when i have the cash to do so! :nice:
I would love the setup you are building @ the mo, but i dont think ill have the funds for that anytime soon with my little lad on the way!:D
Yes 200whp in my 1-ton 9 is a fast car!:drive:

I also sorted a couple of issues at the same time and made note of things to check All in THE service.
WILL's service is second to none guy's, i have never had anyone work on any of my car's that has been so thorough!:nice:

the spec is quite mild but the power is wild:bow:
Tell me about it, i was SO impressed with the power it made!

Someone has changed their tune on the B18C eh Dan
LOL
GEE we will have to meet up sometime soon so you can feel the diffrence, seen as you have already been in my 9 befor the re-map!!!!!

lol,

to be fair mate, ive never seen a result like that, 200WHP on those simple mods on a quick tune

I always thought 170-180WHP max on those mods on B18C, never would of thought as much as 200WHP just due to a good tune!

Thats enough power to turn my head for sure.

Ive seen K20 set ups on a hondata tune making around 230-240BHP with similar mods!!

JimBob - I'm always up for meets mate! :D

Dan - Well, let us know how you get on if you decide to go B18C. I think I want to do it, but dont think it will be anytime soon.

Sick of blowing so much on cars and taking it easy with this one...well thats the plan.

i feel the same as you! Feel like i blow way too much, and i always say im going to chill now and always get carried away! Pees me off! oh well lol

Will keep udated :nice:

200WHP would make a superb track/all round car for road and some dragging.....

Yeah man, think I would be happy for a while with a nicely tuned B18C.

I can still tune with header/intake/muffler though cant I, because everything will cross over to the B18C?

Come to think of it, some headers are different but I will just stick with the OEM B18C header like JimBob or buy a B18C one.

amazing!! need to get my ass in gear and put my hondata money to one side

GEE get your self down to the next MCR-Vtec meet mate!!!!!!

For the cost diffrence V's Performance, in hedders i would go for the B18 4-1!:secret:

When is the next meet JimBob? Had a look on the site but cant seem to find a thread about the next meet unless I'm missing it?

I see what you mean about the header also, seems to do just fine looking at your results!

Better get the over time in at work eh :drive:

LOL, already spoke to my mechanic and he said if there aren't any problems he'll have engine out and in, in 1 day! Could have it all in and running in the next couple of months fingers crossed.

Cheers for the help peeps

If you have removed engines & re fitted engines befor then this swap it easy!
It only took me about 8hours to do my swap!!!!:D

Unfortunatley i have never removed an engine from a car so its something i really would rather not try with this car lol

Knowing me i WILL mess something up. :D
