Jesse888 Forged/stroker turbo ek9

Just been looking into ISF some more and according to NASA it increases a gears life up to 300% because of the less friction and heat.

Impressive stuff that when you think its just polishing the surface...

So not been up to much lately. Cars just been left on the driveway since the pulley got fixed(still not found the fluidampr)
I did have alittle play today, although nothing exciting. Infact real boring for you guys but my lifes that sad i feel i must post this lol
Ive been playing about with the location of my knock sensor(for knock monitor not the stock sensor)
So the best place to mount a knock sensor is high up on the block and central to all cylinders(in the stock location, thats why honda put it there) problem is the common bosch knock sensor only has an m8 hole and the block port is m12.
Id already drilled the centre of the sensor out to m10(fine to do that, very common thing to do for tuners) but theres not enough meat on the sensor to open it up to m12.
So i got Gfab with it, took an m12 bolt and shaved the shaft(giggidy) down to 10mm.
Then cut the head off and cut a thread on the now m10 to m12 adaptor.
I had a look for these online and had no luck, hence why i made one.

The flat edges are perfect 8mm so i can tighten the stud into the block.

Yeah.....told you it was boring and you could argue somewhat pointless lol

Right. So its been abit quiet on the southern front recently, buying my first property has my funds tide up abit so the car wont be getting any faster/more powerful than it currently is for a while.

Had a visit from @robthedoc over xmas, perfect chance to take him out in the car, he knows what a powerful ek9 feels like seen as his car has made 500hp before now. He didnt laugh at me and call me a jesse (hes scotish) so it couldnt have been too bad lol

Ive made a new thread in the projects section to update with what im doing as this thread will be quiet for a while.
Basically i get to spend someone elses money on heavy boost builds which is fantastic...
Heres that thread

Yeah just a waiting game really, nothing else around my way within my budget.

So long time no action with the ek9.
Still not found the lost fluidampr, still not moved into our first home, still not got the car on the dyno.... you get the idea lol
One thing i did do was replaced my maxed out Injector Dynamics 725s with a set of Grams 1000s.

First impressions, i prefer the feel and look of the IDs. The top hats are better finished and have the retaining clip on them. I do like the fitting parts you get with the Grams though.
One thing i instantly noticed is that the car now has abit of boost creep going on. Ive only ran on wastegate pressure so far bit it will creep from 0.45bar up to just over 0.6 by redline so nothing severe but it certainly wasnt there before i fitted the Grams. All ive done with the tune is scaled the injectors in and fixed a hot start AFR issue ive had so its not in the tune. Only thing i can think of is either i had a leak from the injector seals in the manifold under boost or the air and fuel is being better mixed with the Grams and its now too efficient for the 38mm gate on low boost. Either way its not a huge issue and ive now got enough injector size to see this turbo well and truely maxed out once a 3" downpipe and tial housing is sorted.
One of my compaints about the car is the apparent lack of rear grip i have, im always having to correct it which really dents my confidence in the car. Well i think i found out why....
My Dunlop Dz03G ive had on the back for a good 2-2.5 years including some road milage, the surface has gone solid lol imagine a kids trike or something that has plastic wheels on it and its almost like that.
So new rear tyres where much needed. Opted for some R888R, didnt even read reviews on them but i know theyll be fine on the back end of my car. Hoping to get back to how it was afew years ago when i had good confidence in the car, this will help im sure!

Im at snetterton tomorrow for the first trackday since the nurburgring trip! Hopefully it stays as reliable as it has been(ignore the pulley incident) and i can have some fun with it.

Itching to see what you think of the Toyo's as I'm torn between those and DZ03G for this year!

They are only on the rear, still have the dz03g upfront. The dunlops are the best tyre ive ever used, cash flow stopped me buying then again for the rear this time round

15" on the rear. Little 195/50s. Was going to go AR1 but no stock at the time.

I've enquired about the A1 in 16" as it said they would have stock in quarter 4 of 2016, said it my be spring of 2017 now.
