Jesse888 Forged/stroker turbo ek9

Liking these chromed turbos. Mines a rusty purple/yellow eyesore.

Looking good man!

Haha I'm not sure how shiney it will stay after some abuse. All about has it works, function over form all the way.

Good numbers mate. Get some videos up! Haha
Why such a small amour of boost? To keep it safe? Or due to the compression? I'm not clued up in turbos.

Good work either way... Should be fun on track

Is the compression of the engine is the reason for low amount of boost. If it was a 16a or 18c4 then I could run more boost but I'm not worried about that tbh. Even with 16a limit is around 300hp and romain said this will go to 300 and be reliable enough. I don't want that though I want a usable and safe trackcar, an extra 20hp isn't going to do much for me now lol

Can tell you've had quick cars in the past...I wouldn't be able to help myself, I'd just want as much power as possible and worry about reliability and traction when it comes to it lol.
Can't wait to see the vids though mate. You were very fast and fluent round the ring in your old 9!

Yeah been there, my last turbo car had twice the torque of this thing. Couldn't put the power down and it all came in one big mountine. Made it useless on track and just turned it into an expensive pain in the arse, too much power is slower on track, esp with fwd. im hoping to have hit the sweet spot with this and can't wait to hit the ring in it.
Would like to go 8:15 BTG or less

Haha I'd be amazed at high 7's tbh. Gt more power but my top speed won't be much higher than last year, then it's all corners at similar speeds to last year.

Well done on this mate, came so far so quick lol

Love your builds ;)

Yeah it has come along way. Spent a lot of time in the garage with this one. Wanted everything to fit perfect and I've done that IMO.
Spent two whole days getting the oil return right lol
Needs afew suspension tweeks and sticky rubber then it's track time I think.

haha thats the way to do it though man, nice one.

Awesome work mate - put me to shame with the speed you did this in. Great numbers too. :)

I'm more than happy with the numbers. I work nights so I get daylight to work on the car pretty much, so that helps heaps. Just got to go out and drive it now and get used to the new power!

Nice work mate, glad to see some nice figures. That 280 / 175 sounds sweet. Better to not have massive amounts of torque as it will just spin up everywhere otherwise. This is going to be a beast round the ring. Are you thinking of changing your final drive or going longer than your current gearing?

Nice to see it s all mapped now mate.

Cars is really looking good :nice:

I haven't even driven the car properly since it was mapped, just standard drive home due to weather and traffic as said.

Yeah i like the "low" torque number tbh, should help with traction especially as I'll be asking a lot from the tyres laterally on track already.
I was thinking about longer gearing before it was mapped but it would only really be for the ring, uk tracks aren't really fast enough to worry about the gearing.
Romain says it should drive quite like a supercharged car and you still have to rev it to get it going which is great IMO
Will get a video soon as pos.

Yup and having the power higher up also helps with traction and is more fun, stops you from being lazy haha.

Taking it out for a spin today, assuming I get time and it doesn't rain too much,
