I guess everybody knows these from the Best Motoring Clips. The Spoon CEO states they added these for "easier handling".

I would like to know a little bit more about these, they are shorter - I meassured approx. 3mm, mounting positions meassured - so obviously they increase negative camber on the rear.

Do people know the difference in factory alignment SPEC on rear camber between the SPEC 96 and SPEC 98, to know how much camber changes by these exactly?

Experience from people who switched from spec 96 to spec 98 arms?

SPEC 96 vs SPEC 98:

interesting mod,are you talking about DC2 or EK9 chassis?

I have one and need to find one more to complete the set.

Anyway, are you sure about 3mm difference? I just compared mine to ek9 one, chassis mounting bracket to center of the hole for mounting on trailing arm, exactly the same.
I have complete ek9 trailing arms with uca still mounted on them, bolt that holds the uca to trailing arm is sticking out by about 10mm, so if I stick 98spec uca onto that bolt its chassis bracket/tab will sit exactly parallel to ek9 uca chassis bracket, edge to edge same.

Hey Guys, it's for my EK4.

3mm is what I measured, from center to center of the bushings, which is the pivoting point. I will measure again from mounting point Chassis to center front bushing.

If there is Factory alignment SPEC available of both ITR DC2 SPEC 96 and SPEC 98, it should clear up any camber differences.

You only have "center of the bushing" on one side, its the back of the tab on the other side that matters. You can compare them without measuring, find a longer bolt, preferably suspension bolt to fill the bushing hole in order to be precise so UCA dont move around the bolt, stick both on and see how back of the chassis bracket lines up. Bracket itself may be different thickness hence why you will be looking how back edge lines up.

As for the factory alignment spec, I dont have it but there was Best Motoring video upload long time ago '96 vs '98 and that video had every little detail in it, I can only find parts of that video now and none of them show anything on the camber, only wheel difference/track width shot from the back and I cant tell if camber is different from that shot.

Thanks for the video clip! I will measure again like you say and post picture.

So I finally had a moment to do the Dori Test, he was right. :)

I guess these were just made to eliminate flex and maybe also to improve space to the rim as the 98 SPEC uses wider (7J vs 6J?) high offset rims.

Very good. Yes it gives more space at the back of the 16" wheel. It will also be stronger, I think.

No Fear I think part number for '98spec jdm UCA is 52390-ST7-Z11 (I am not 100% sure but I think its the same part number for both sides, it would be great if someone can confirm this)
I think eudm part number is 52390-SR3-000 for right side and 52400-SR3-000 for left.

Would anyone have any suggestions where we could buy/order jdm arm?

Dont know about UK but not a chance in Eire, cant get oem parts here from Honda dealers for anything older than 15 years, that goes for any honda car not just type r's, even less chance for jdm specific part.

If you do manage please let me know, cheers
