Somewhere down the line, I may need to sell my EK9 and buy something that's a little bit more comfortable, more spacious for carrying passengers, and better suited to long motorway journeys.

JDM EP3 immediately comes to mind. What do you think? Any positive experiences? Good car?

Cheers.

I've owned a uk ep3 with a few mods and there a very capable car, jdm one is only going to be better. Not as raw as a ek9 but by no means a boring car

I have a jdm ep3 & I think they are a great family car. Nice & comfy with more than enough boot space plus the power is there for when you need it. It's also easy to get a small child / baby in & out of the back compared to some 4 door cars.

One of me mates bought an EP3 couple of weeks before. We went together to pick it up. If you looking for a comfy and family car then EP3 is a good car. Also very spacious and u need to get use to of the gear liver as its located up in the middle console of dash :)

If you really need something for the family why not look into:
- Civic Type R FD2
- Honda Accord Type R
- Integra DB8 Type R

All have 4 doors and are a Type R :D

Thanks for the responses folks. One of the main reasons I'll consider the JDM EP3 is due to its powertrain; I've never owned a K20 and would quite like to at some point.

ATR is probably the best value for money Honda out there. I'd prefer a hatchback though and the lack of a 6th gear is something I'd have to consider.

I like the FD2 but outside of my budget unfortunately.

I can't seem to get on with the looks of the DB8 - good suggestion though.

Ahh well, we shall see as time progresses. For now though, EK9 :)

If it needs to be practical then I think an ATR will beat any EP3 :)

lol, too big? The car is bigger though and has 4 doors.

I've owned one before the dc5. Good all round car, But I hated the gear shift location I just couldn't get on with it.other than that it felt more nimble compared to the dc5. For me the dc5 felt more overall better and enjoyable.

Oh yeah the ep took ages to sell aswell, Most can't justify the price difference compared to a Ukdm model.
