You'll get afew drop ours selling their track time nearer the event so wouldn't worry about not getting on just yet.
A proper trackday is a smarter idea anyway, you'll be surrounded by much more experienced drivers that you can learn proper track etiquette from.

Cant recommend this enough. So many heros at tracks when tied to a show! Love watching heros fail to brake before quarry brow and mess up.

^ Unless its a group booked session with the likes of this site; I wouldnt risk it. General public access to the track that day is a recipe for disaster.

Japfest historically has a very 'unique' herbal smell in the air as you walk around, so that suggests type of demographic may also be on track

Combe isn't exactly a "starter" track either, heard that quarry has the highest crash rate of any corner in this country?
Trackday insurers won't even touch that track lol

I remember many years ago I was bought a experience day at coombe and I'm sure they actually said about the crash rate in the briefing...

It's crap anyway. I hated it last time at japfest. Poorly organised, idiots on track, horrible surface, boring high speed track which is great for the 800hp evos showing off but dull when you're in a standard 9 lol

Combe isn't hard, people pay no attention to the fact they are coming out of the pit lane with cold brakes and tyres, you pile on the speed from there until the slight left handed turn before quarry, which actually is quite a lift when you hit it, this causes people to brake, the ass end goes very light and then you're suddenly faced with quarry, too late, your rear is light, you're already turning left from the slight lift in the track and you bail into the barrier.
The other situation is as you leave quarry people get on it hard too fast and end up tank slapping on the straight and clout the barrier on the way out.

The best thing to remember at combe is turn ******* right when you're in trouble as the centre is a giant field!!

Yeah that's true. I know last year the mazda mps guys had to share the track with the top gear guys.

I enjoy combe as while it is a fast track there are also some technical parts. Quarry and the final corner before pit straight.

Ah see thanks for all the info's guys/gals just wondering cause I haven't tried at Combe yet thought be a nice opportunity to try at japfest. Will definitely think about it
