Well lads looking for some info or better still help. Me and a mate are hoping to go to the tt this year and are about to book camping for a week during race week but I said I'd throw this up and see. Would anyone know of any accommodation such as B and B. Ideally a twin room but open to options.

Isle of man TT is the sickest, bravest, insane, badest event..i would so like to go one day...

also interested to see if people have used camp sites before .me and 3 of my mates are booking a mobile caravan and making the trip over this year .

i read review about camp sites and people reckon is a way better experience camping because you get a much better feel for the atmosphere. are you bringing that over on a ferry ?

ye hoping to bring it over on the ferry but haven't looked into getting it over yet , if worst comes to it we will just pack up a car with tents .. were just going for 4 days .

It's silly money to get there and stay. Like silly silly money. My boyfriend looked into taking me as a surprise but it's was way to expensive. I am a massive fan of the TT and would love to go as I watch it every year. Also a friend went years ago and said even tho it was good you stand in one spot and because the track is so long you might now see a bike for ages and when the bikes are going passed, they go so fast it's hard to enjoy it.

I think just about anyone with a spare room on the island is renting during the TT, but as above, the prices are mad. Also, can you even get on the ferry? I was thinking about going a few years back and ALL the ferry tickets were sold out months in advance. This needs to be planned a year in advance really I found.

If it was me I'd do something like the NW200 or something simpler. It will be fraction of the price. Less busy and a lot of the TT boys race there.

If you go on the Guy Martin website it gives you a schedule on his homepage and other road races.

As a resident of the Isle of man. Camping is generally the better option for experience also cheaper. You need to make a choice to how much of the racing you want to watch and where. How much time you want to spend out in nightlife will determine how close you want to stay to a town etc. Also what vehicle you bring to how much you want to enjoy the one way mountain section with no speed limit. But be aware it's similar to nurburgring but with alot more bikes and alot more public. Late night and early morning runs are most advised if you want a clear run.

Needs a fair amount of planning ahead as boat tickets sell out fast as do accommodation. Also on the watching front you can quite easily get stuck at one side of the island while watching for most the day with road closures. So pretty planning where to watch on what days etc goes a long way.

There are tones of Local BnBs and even more local rented rooms. Just check out some of the sites an they will point you in direction of registered public bed sits.

Is hard for me as a local to advise tourists coming over as living here I have never had to look into any of it Myself.

If you have any specific questions on locations, where you get stuck in etc, advice on what places are like then shoot me a Pm.
