hi guys im looking at geting a EK9 end of this year when funds are up. any1 know what my insurance would be like. im 19 1yearsNCB and im in the Armed Forces. chers

Chris, I live in Ireland and was told by many insurers that I won't get insurance on an EK9. I'm 20, full licence, 1yrs NCB.

I ended up ringing my current insurer and saying I just bought a new car and I wanted to see how much I owed them in the difference. A man came on the phone and quoted my €770 extra (for 6months), so this doubled my premium but well worth it! So I have to go and pay and extra €770 and I get to drive the EK9 and continue my current direct debits for the insurance, I'm delighted not to lose the years no claims too.

So if you're insured with someone at the moment, I'd ring them, say you put your deposit down and want to know what the difference is. Oh and I have a mate in the Irish army and he always seems to do alot better on insurance quotes than any of the rest of us :D lol

Best of luck with it man.

chers m8. i have a 07 suzuki swift 1.3 atm and i pay around 1700 a year. gona call them today.

most places wont touch you..one because you are to young and 2 because most imports require 2 years no claims.

i had a crash last year and that took me down to 1 year no claims but the company over looked that and offered me insurance anyways.

im 27. 1 years no claims and im paying 1200 :( lol

im 19 and had my ek9 for 3 months. ull get insured no probs

Cal you seem to find a way to do everything mate!! :D

Hey guys. Newbie here. Just wrote off my 211BHP Leon Cupra 03 plate. Lost my NCB and had a £5,500 claim squatting on my insurance record.

Called DirectLine (my current insurer) and asked them to quote me on my existing policy for an EK9. £39 for the year to add it. So basically, £65 a month.

I'm 23. Driving since 17 and only 1 claim (11 points on my license).

I'm happy as hell with this quote. I rung back to double-check it and they confirmed that if I insured an EK9, it'd cost me sod all extra.

Will I get an EK9? You bet.
