nah im ok thanks think it'll be hard to drive an ek9 with one arm!
have a mate insured with adrian flux who rung to ask for quote for me he said a rough estimate of 1700-1800 if i was 19 and had 1 years no claims at the time of phone call
so i guess thats a pretty good quote

Who did u insure with Steve? And did you have optional increased excess?
looks about the kinda price i'll be paying when i purchase mine, gotta wait ages tho :(

By christ mate thats a deal and a half, listen to what i got...Brace yourself....!

Im a 21 year old Ferry driver (full time) with 2 years no claims.....

Just had 3 points taken off my license (red light) TS10!

Car parked in a garage over night (CCTV also) 8000 miles p/a!

And i got £1800, with a £200 excess!!!

If i never knew any better, id say Adrian Flux were planning there Christmas night out courtsey of Yours Trully!

i've just had my enquiry back from Greenlight who have quoted me £570 fully comp! with a £300 excess! and to be fair i didn't think that was too bad! unless anyone else can bet that for a 26yr old!

i'm insured through elephant, i did it over thte phone to confirm it was an imported type-R etc

Adrian Flux were second cheapest for a quote, they wanted £1350

the exhaust system is declared as thats the only mod on the car, excess is like £400 i think instead of £250

Elephant???? Can you confirm to me what the exact model is you have insured cause they had never heard of an Imported EK 9 and it definatley isnt a ....... VTI-R and the Civic Type R import is the Civic Type R(EP3) 1998cc and not the ek 9, This would be very helpfull mate a insured with elephant the now

All insurance companies have different classes of insurance, although the insurance company im dealing with have it as a 19a which is pretty eye watering considering a RS4 is a 20......

Although a have heard it being classed a bit lower, 17,18 etc etc, its likley to be diffrent for every insurance company!

Im 21 (2 years ncb) Live in Glasgow....

I got a quote and it came in at £1500, i think thats ridicolous as its a 8 year old car, but cause its an import thats why its so high!

On the other hand i got offered a Renault Clio Trophy 182 with 20k miles swap for my civic and the insurance is a shade over £1000, insurance companies are a pain in the arse!!!!
 
guys i know we tall about ek9 most the time but the car is a civic type r and should be insured as a civic type r , if it aint and you need to claim you wont get a penny and you will be driving a car you not insured to drive, so if you crash into me and you not insured there will be trouble

insurance companies charge 40% more for an imported car mainly cos the the parts are ment to dearer to buy
