Hi just to let people know a friend of mine with a white ef9 with carbon firbre hood took his car in to inline motors about 2 years ago to get a t3/t4 turbo fitted on his b16, when he recieved his car from inline motors he found bolts loose and parts fitted incorrectly and worst of all he scratched his hood and paint work which was newly resprayed all in all the job was not good at all.I am just letting people know to stay well away from this inline motors guy in wolverhampton.

please avoid this guy as he is a big cowboy:angry2:

ps while browsing the web i came across a number of people who have had similar dealings with this bloke i also found this inlinemotors

clearly has a fair few bad dealings

Thankyou

ouch...business Darwinism is a bitch isnt it. Too bad companies like GM get bailed out by the US Government...sorry, rant.

I rang the idiot a while back about re honing a set of rods. I couldn't understand a word he was saying so i put the phone down on him.

I'v heard nothink but bad about them, i was speaking to someone a while back that payed him to forge a engine ( can't remember what engine, it wasn't a honda ) and he didnt. He just rebuilt it with stock internal and kept the money for the forged bits.

Hi,

Just found this old thread, and thought I would add my 2c worth. Never got any satisfaction from them. Out of pocket £2500 + expenses.

I have personal experience of using these guys trying to rebuild my healthy H22A2 into ATR specs. They messed up twice big time. 1st time after careful running in reached 1k miles and it starved a rod bearing of oil, and started it to knock. Paid and shipped car back to them at my expense (£120), so they could diagnose what had happened (and hopefully rectify). They tried to imply that the car had been run on low oil, and that I was the cause!! Yeah right. I like doing that to my new engine! Also, it had oil changes at 100,500,1000 miles at their instruction. Never had oil below max!! Checked every day before start of journey, whilst running in engine.

No warranty honored. Joke. It gets worse.

Paid them some more money to cover the cost of parts, and they would rebuild again (best compromise without going to small claims court). They promised to use an existing bottom end built for a customer who backed out, or source one themselves.

2nd engine (supposed to be rebuilt) blew a balance shaft oil seal out in the car park. Car repaired at Honda (seal + timing belt kit £380). Engine now will not VTEC due to low oil pressure. Intermittent flickering oil light at idle. Honda could not identify problem. That was enough for me, this engine on its way out too.

Engine out. Investigations take place by Performance Autoworks. Engine installation reveals all. Badly installed, missing bolts from all over. Engine / gearbox mounts, also split front mount. IM support bracket missing, ex manifold mount bracket and bolts missing. Engine stripped down, discovers painted front of block (to tidy it up) oil leaks from all over, sump gasket etc. Engine is a 2nd hand unit fitted with no work performed on it at all. Head removed to check, and standard P13 pistons still in!! Total con.

Totally shocking way to run a business  Was thinking about getting jobs done there once :nono: Thanks for the warnings

h10ndr did you ever get any money back from them?

Nope. Although, they have had a new owner come along, who did contact me to try resolve my issues(really he wanted me to withdraw my bad testimonals - so he could salvage the business name). It all came to nothing in the end, as he wasn't prepared to compensate me with any amount of money, just a token free machine services (like I would use them again!!)

Also, although under new ownership, the same people work there, so do not be fooled into thinking the quality will be any different. They were talking about starting up again under a new business name, so be careful guys around the Wolverhampton area.

The best company to use bar non - is Performance Autoworks.

thats why i preffer to do all the work by my self only sleeving or porting i take to the machine shop plus over here people start talking and next thing you know your car its gone
