I don't know why, but import plates on non imports boils my p#ss. I think it's pointless.
Same here. Don't even know why just grates me.

Why do they bother offering that kind of service then?Halfords refused to make an import plate for my dc2, even though it was parked outside to show them what I needed.

Most of them need to order them in, as they don't have the materials in stock to make them there and then.
Cropped plates is where it's at.

My car was imported from the UK, so I'm throwing on Euro plates, to stay with the originalityin my eyes its just a chavs way of trying to fit into the whole jdm scene, if it came with uk plates then leave it uk!
DONT get UK square plates, they look stupid. They are NOT the same size as import plates and look terrible.
You're basically putting a 4x4 plate on your Civic. Be better leaving it with standard rectangular UK plates. Actual import sized plates are 12"x6".
It's one of my peeves about Civics, people who think they're getting the "import look" by putting UK 4x4 plates on it lol... Looks shocking because they're the wrong size and shape... I don't mind if people want to put import plates on so long as they use a 12"x6" and not a 4x4 one.
Examples below, couldn't find any EKs really so got EP3 but you see my point. (All pics from Google Images)
Correct size 12x6 -
Wrong size -
As you can see, they're completely different. So either risk it and get proper size, or don't bother.

But don't even get a square one for the front. If you're going to, get a 12"x6" for the front, the proper size or it'll look wrong.
JDM leaf stickers is another one, people don't realise - the JDM leaf is the symbol for a learner driver in Japan, like our L plates. Don't think UKDM car owners go putting L plates on their cars because it's so "UKDM".
See I like the look of that looks quite nice, where abouts did you get that plate from if you dont mind me asking?
Alright thanks I'll have a lookGot it from a motorfactors through in Glasgow which have since shut down haha. Can get them off Ebay though man.
