Immobilizer confusion

Hi guys I had a 1996 ek4 that I'm taking the engine from and putting into my facelift ej9 . The question I have right now is am I going to have difficulty with the immobilizer in the ej9 with my new ECU and motor etc or do I use the key that the ej9 had to begin with . I'm sorry if this has been covered before but I couldn't find an answer . Thank yous
 
What ECU are you using? The one from the ek4?

Yes I'll be using the ECU out of the ek4 , I'm just not sure if it will work fine or not with how I'm swapping everything over or do I need to swap the ek4 tumbler into the ej9 shell
 
If you don't swap the ignition what you can do is have a new key made that's cut from the ej9 key and coded from the ek4 key. Or get an ECU from a JDM car, they don't have an immobilizer.
 
Ah thank you , alternatively could I swap the ignition tumbler from the ek4 to the ej9 and it would work all good then ?
