Immobilised key ? ment too or not

Hey guys just wondering, iv had a few hondas in the past and all have had immobilised keys apart from an eg, which i gathered that because it was pre 96 that was probobly why... anyway.. what have you guys got with ek9's because mine dosnt seem to be an immobilised key, but when i put the key in the ignition it is protected in some way as a noise is made to say the right key is in the ignition ? even a picture of your keys would help. thanks guys
 
EK9's don't have immobiliser's as standard I think I'm right in saying, or pre 2000 Honda Imports in general. But yeh the beeping is to tell you to remember to take your key out i think.
