I have just finished paying off my current insurance. It's not due for renewal until October.

I figured I would just look at some quotes see how much I should be looking at for insurance. Lowest quote so far for fully comp is £1400 with one of them boxes fitted to the car!!!

I'm 22, been driving 5 years and got 5 years no claims. :angry2::angry2:

Still, when my insurance is actually due for renewal I will be 23 by then, maybe that reduces my premium by a bit.

Wow thats expensive man. Im 23 with 6 years ncb, and paying just over £1000 for my daily and track ek9 (with roll cage, eng change + loads more)

Try giving neil @ greenlight insurance a call, hes also a vendor/trader on here

Yeah I will definitely look into it more deeper nearer the time. I got the next couple of months to save up! lol. Hopefully it does go down because if it doesn't I will be well peed off.

Definitely try Neil at greenlight. The quote I got off him was way cheaper than everyone else!

yep greenlight is the way im 27 5 years ncb payed £370 fully comp just to make you sick hehe ;p

Thanks for all the recommendations guys its much appreciated.

"Danger Day" If you wanted to drop me a PM with your contact number i'll get in touch and run you a price.

Not sure if you cover less than 7500 miles a year but that would qualify you for a reduced miles discount that can lead to some really good prices.

Best Regards
Neil

Assuming you are insuring an EK9 or a similar specialist vehicle, try speaking to insurance specialists rather than price comparison sites.
Feel free to get in touch upon renewal.

Thanks

Thanks for the comments guys. Will try out some of the companies on here nearer the time. I find it funny that last year it would have cost me £950 something for the year with elephant (i think) but when i looked at a quote with them a few days ago it was like £1800 something rofl.

You might find they experienced loads of claims on that model vehilce over the year hence the increase in price.

Definatelty get in touch if you want us to run a price for you.

Why is it that expensive for a younger person to insure a Honda in the UK? For many people it is pretty impossible to insure a EK9 cause they cant spend thousands of £ a year. In Germany it is much cheaper to insure Hondas. Is there a special reason for that high rates?

Claims/Loss ratios ratio - they are crashed/stolen and broken into often.

The most expensive car insurance in the whole ****in world are in United Kingdom, also ridiculously methods for calculating the final price ,its funny to own a car priced on £500 and to pay £1500 for insurance when you have at least 5 years ncd ,and you are over 25... Just no comment

Depends how modified your car is. If you keep the 9 relatively standard than admiral are the best. Im 22 with 5 years no claims and its £500 for me.

O and pay it off in one go as well, paying it off monthly costs a few hundred more .

I am not talking about ek9 buddy ,i am talking about any ordinary 1.4 car , probably you live in the country side thats why is 500 :woot: which is just amazing price for an ek9 . Wish ya safe driving :win:

Just north of London. Jesus you are paying that much for a 1.4. Screw owning a car if I ever live in London.

That's expensive. Depends on your area also. But I just renewed my ek4 with (suspension, alloys, air intake, manifold & brakes) listed..... 23 w/ 6yr ncb for 380 fully comp with elephant.

Keep asking around, once you find the cheapest on comparsion sites, phone them directly as you can usually swindle more out of them, even if its free legal cover or hire car etc.
