Right, i was driving home from my girlfriends in the civic, minding my own business, not breaking the law and i get pulled over. I never get pulled over driving my daily? This made me think, how often do you guys get pulled over just for having a nice car? :nice:

Been driving since 1998 and have never been pulled over. You think the police think
"There's a nice old civic lets pull it over"? If you keep getting this treatment your doing somthing wrong.

Alot of cops in my area, unmarked especially

Got stopped once by a copper on the way back from the girlfriends, he was in the middle of the road with a flashlight before I had even turned the corner, he said he heard me coming, bare in mind this was in the Mini which is loud doing 30. Just asked if I had been drinking, said nice mini and let me go on my way.

In the Civic but this time by a rapid response 4x4, fully armed etc, just checking the car wasn't stolen/insured etc, asked me what I did with my self, replied I'm a student studying which led to a conversation about his kids, top blokes.

Cops in our area don't bother us lot as we care for our cars and they respect it and give us no hassle, the guys in shitboxes driving like tools on the other hand.

Apart from that not a problem.

Although another cop did follow me into a car park and give my car a long look recently :secret:

It's true tho, they will do exactly that!

Was driving at 60 down the motor way in my 9 following my mates vti. We had a police BMW follow us for about 5 miles then pulled us over. Checked our cars over then let us go on our way.... I havent got a problem if they wish to check my car but my car is road worthy.

I have been pulled over over a 100 times easily, mainly when i wAs younger and the people i choose to hang around with. Worst time was 7 times in a week, i was fuming to say the least. Nowa days they dont reAlly bother. Last time i got pulled over was about 9 months ago, properly because im not driving about at silly times of the morning and havent got a full car of boys. They dont batter a eye at me anymore which is a relief. It was kinda getting a big problem tbh.

I dont really get pulled in the DC2, nor in my LCR, but my little brother in his EVO gets pulled quite alot, basiclly checking its not nicked. They see his military card and let him on his way.

People who complain about getting pulled all the time, need to stop driving around city centre with car full, or be thankful that the police are doing there job

Man when i got my 9 the local guards pulled me a lot but once they got to know that its my car they stopped :nice: as long you aren't messing around they don't care

simple cops dont and never have liked the honda/vauxhall there racists againts them.

woop woop licence please aaaaaaaaaaa noo haha :)

I've only been pulled about 5 times in my life, and each time I deserved it.

You probably do too.

Never been pulled over unless I was doing something like on the phone or speed limit.. Think it depends on the look of the driver aswell though

Ive been pulled just for having mates in the car. When i asked the pig why she replied, "Well youre four up so its worth a try"
Some of them are just trying to find anything possible on you, even if youre being polite.
I had a skateboard portable rail in the back and she thought wed been nicking scrap lmaooo.
Theres a station down the road from me and some of the lazy bastards will pull you just 1-2 minutes from there when they start there shift.

I've been pulled over a few times, never because I've done anything wrong though. Mostly when I'm the designated driver... they see a group of guys coming out of town in a modded civic at 3am, of course they're going to be suspicious and they're only doing their job of protecting everyone else... plus the look on their faces when they realise you're sober is great :)

i think it depends where you live, a few miles from me is the training area for new coppers so you get alot of "routine checks" :blabla:

about 3 months ago i got pulled as i left my mates house, apparently id been driving at stupid speeds coming from a town which is another 7 miles away from where i was. Apparently they had video evidence and when i asked to see the tape they said " IM SORRY WE CANT DOWNLOAD IT"... what kinda excuse is that! Bare in mind ive never seen another all black eg6 with red recaros in round here and guess what happend when i asked to see the tape, they give me that excuse and sent me on my way

you get fair cops and you get cunts, never guna change

agree with everything in this thread.

some police are a pain in the backside, other are fine.

As a son of a Traffic Copper (yes...) "oh your ***** son ! you alright" is normally the outcome.
And the only reason they pull me over is for late night / early morning driving, I go to alot of clubs with mates etc , when i drive and never drink, literally anything, my license isnt worth it.

They know who i am but still do the normal checks on the car, tyres, insurance, tax yada yada yada, and send me on my way.

I once argued with a copper for 15 mins before him backing down and saying sorry as he accused me of speeding over a 20 mile period down the dual carriageway and they'd been struggling to keep up with me. When I had been 5 mins up the road at my friends and was on my way home.

So yeh. not really a problem !

I've been pulled/followed quite a few times, doesn't really bother me too much. As long as you're not driving like a tool and you're nice enough to them, they realise you're not a mong and let you go quite quickly once they've done they're checks. As long as you have nothing to hide, you'll be fine. Had a few of them tell me they liked my car too

Although there was one time when i was bringing a KFC home and it went cold because i got pulled over :((

Oooooh, controversial.... :p

It can be true sometimes though :p I probably look dodgey as hell sometimes, half of me doesn't blame them :p

They followed me back to work once and blocked me in, in front of work mates accused me of stealing my car....... until they realised they read the number plate wrong. Swift exit with no real apology

I used to get pulled all the time when I was 17/18 years old. I once got pulled over because I looked at the coppers funny as I was giving way to them at a Junction (the actual reason they gave me). to be fair I think they saw a young lad driving a modified Honda late on a friday night and thought they'd chance it. Haven't been pulled in a few years now though.
