well lads just wondering does anyone have any tips or guides on how to fit a mid-spoiler to a ek ?

throw it away and forget you ever had such a terrible notion of fitting a mid-spoiler.

alternatively i would take the plastics off the boot lid, line up spoiler on the boot and mark the position of the holes and drill them out. im sure someone on here would has a mid-wing fitted should be able to show how its secured to the boot, but id imagine there are threaded holes on the wing so its only a matter of getting the right bolts and some washers for the boot.

It is literally drilled holes as said, the threads on the spoiler should go through them with a bolt on the other side :nice:

Unfortunately some civics came from the factory with this extra, mines being one of them! If i could have got a replacement ek9 boot before re-spray i would have removed mine and went with smoth de-wipered one, dont believe in trying to smooth off drilled holes etc could look like sh!t in the future :blabla:

If you do fit it, be prepared for most people ripping the sh!t out of it, I dont care what anyone thinks but i have had plenty of people offering to tie a rope round it and a lamp post to remove it for me

Was this an official optional extra ? If it was could someone pat a picture just out of interest.

Had a quick google search but a lot were different styles size and height was there an official Honda one ?

As far as i know, it was an optional extra along with the fog lights :nice:

You must be able to get some kind of adhesive these days that would hold that on without having to drill holes.

cheers for the replies lads i was told to try tech 7 but surely if i was to take it back off it would be just as easy to fill in holes as to get the boot sprayed anyway ?. iv never heard of anyone hating them that much

They have them on the Glanza V's, which I like - but not the EK ones.
