How to clean IACV

Thanks VTEC6000 I thought it might be an electrical surge or maybe the o2 sensor that's gone. Not sure where that is located on the engine... Is that near the manifold?? Sorry for the newbie questions, it's my first car and I've never played with honda's... Only Suzuki swifts

02 sensor is near collector of manifold(where tubes merge together) If you look directly down under intake manifold you'll see 02 sensor in exhaust manifold

so I cleaned out the IACV and replaced my 02 sensor, CAR RUNS LIKE A DREAM!!! awesome DIY Tutorial thank you so much!!!!!

What would you recommend to use for cleaning the o2 sensor? And also, would brake cleaner be okay to use to clean the IACV? Thanks.

Tried this today and couldn't manage to get the coolant hoses off. Didn't want to pull too hard in case I did damage. Any advice would appreciated.

Use a pliers to twist the hose left and right, this should break it free for you to pull it off

Hi,did this to me EK a month back after the idles kept on bouncing and throttle went dead occasionally...it idles fine when the AC is on but whens it off it continues to bounce and throttle does go dead occasionally...funny though i unplugged the IACV sensor and it idled perfectally just that the AC clutch wasn engaging..any ideas why this is happening!thanks!

Totally forgot about the IACV until the other day when the EK9 sat at 1500rpm idle for the trip to the Mother in law's, then tried to stall itself every time I moved it on the way home.

Remembered I had to do it on my 96 DC2R. Took all of 10 minutes to whip it off, clean & re-fit.
