Is there much difference between the two. I done a bit of searching on the web and it seemed that the only extra features the kpro had was data logging and you can tune it from a laptop.

I wouldn't have any interest in datalogging or trying to map a car myself so would a k100 be the better option.

Apart from the features i mentioned above is there any other features that the k100 doesn't have.

Also would you get the same power from a k pro compared to a k100

if your not going to be datalogging or mapping it yourself then k100 is for you ;) alot cheaper aswell. Everything else is the same.

I have a K100 but wish i bought a kpro now as i need to disable the second lamda sensor and my set up only has a hole for one. I have seen people disable the idle control valve and set the idle at a certain rpm due to re-occuring problems. My ecu was already mapped in my EP3 though so I need it mapping again anyway to suit the k swap exhaust

Hopefully vtec6000 comes along, id like to know a proper answer for this.

The k100 allows map to be retained after been mapped using the Kpro daughter board. I don't currently offer them as I never had a request for one, everyone seems happy enough to buy a Kpro. Resale on a K100 wouldn't be great because you cannot simply plug in and remap it.

Good info here man. I'm curious to know why a K100 cannot be plugged into another car and remapped again? Whats the story behind it?

k100 is a reflash of the stock ecu and it does'nt always work either, my experience is years old and they may have improved the product since then but everyone i know who tried k100 went to kpro eventually.

People on the Type-r forums seem to get on well with the k100 in their EP3's etc.

Its a cheaper option with the same gains as K-pro on n/a cars anyway. The only downside to k100 vs kpro is that you can't plug it straight into a laptop for datalogging

Call up tdi south and Sam will be able to tell you all the differences im sure, from what I remember it was a pretty big list!

k100 is not a reflash, a reflash is a reflash. k100 is a physically soldered-in chip in the ecu. It has most functions of a kpro apart from things like datalogging due to no usb connection. On the contrary people are now buying k100s not kpros as they are realising most big name hondata mappers (cpl/tdi) lock their maps so owners can't touch the settings anyway, so the whole advantage of kpro's are taken away. DIY road mapping is massive in america which is why kpro's are sought after over there. Over here very little people has the ability or confidence to map themselves.

kpro if you love to see all the values infront of you k100 if you want it mapped and thats it

Been wondering whether I can run a K100 on a K-swapped Civic. If I can, is it only certain companies that can map these? Or can I take it to any company/person who can map Hondata? Would rather a K100 as it's cheaper and I wont be mapping my car myself any time soon!

Do you not already have a k-pro?
