my car just finish conversion to b16b stock engine.
Because i had watch some video on youtube that some ppl hit the rpm at over 10k and also can hold it almost 1 second++ .
so i go for a test and hit 9500 rpm+- but when it reach that 9500 rpm+-, i feel the engine miss, then i release the gas pedal. After that i try 1 round again but this time does not reach 9k rpm because i scare that will blow the engine and want to confirm that miss does not broken my engine.
Sumary is after the last test, i am not sure that miss will hurt my engine or not but my engine can still on vtec.
Anyone can tell me that miss will hurt my engine or not?
or it will bring some engine issue after this because i scare that it already hurt my block and the engine part.

thank.

Your probably ok.
But don't do it again. Engine does not make power at that rpm so is a waste of time.
Shift at 8800rpm as that's where power peaks off

The miss you felt would be your Rev limiter.

You probably didn't rev as high as 9500. The Rev counters read higher than they should quite often,

Your engine should be fine

Don't do it again... Revving as high as it can go does not necessarily mean more power. As said above, the optimal point to shift is around 8,800rpm.

If you've watched Keiichi Tsuchiya drive the Spoon EK9, with a 10,000rpm limit, he mentions the best point to shift is at the 9,000 mark.

The miss you felt was your fuel cutoff or limiter i would worrie about it.

Jesse is correct Vtec6000 told me the same thing 8800 is the peak curve

Ye i wouldnt recommend that again, remember the spoon engine had a uprated crank girdle to absorb vibration, and the standard valve springs might struggle.

Your well above peak power revving it like that

A stock engine is not good at that speed. A built one is a different matter, you could rev the B16 up to 11k if you built it correctly. It would be an utter dog of an engine to drive normally though!
