Helpful information on Grounds, VERY important

from above, look down behind your distributorm just below the level of the intake manifold is the thermostat on the corner of the block. Theres an earth with two wires crimped into it bolted on top by a 10mm bolt. :nice:

Thanks sir. :)

This thread is very helpful coz i just installed a Sun HGS last night and it did gave a significant change in my cars idle & throttle response specially with all the electronics gadget are ON. I'll try to clean that block connection near the thermostat housing again tonight.

member EK4_SiR here has had some good results using a voltage stabilizer similar to that of the buddy club one.

So in summary;
*Don't Stack Grounds
*Block -Run everything to it
*Use 10-14 gauge wiring

Question,
What are the stock grounds?
1, Cam cover to Slam panel
2, Tranny to chassis
3, Wiring Harness to battery

Is that right?
And 'Mr Wiring Guru' wants us to;
1, Cam cover to block
2, Tranny to block
3, Wiring Harness to block?

Im crap with electrics, so if someone can verify the above that'll be great!
And I'll be off to halfords to purchase some ground straps!

don`t forget the most important ones,

Block to Chassis, & Battery to Chassis :dance:

tranny and block are joined together nicely by the tranny by the block bolts around the clutch, don`t think you`ll get a much better earth connection than 5 or so 19mm headed bolts!! :naughty::nice::nerv:

Bringing up an old post rather then making a new one.

To the people who have done this, where on the block have you used for the distrbution point?

Or where have you guys put yor grounding points that have worked?

Thanks
