Ahh I gottcha, any idea what it would rev to comfortably without doing damage?

Thinking about this with an b16b head :blinx:

It would be safe to rev to 9500, but this engine is a h22 out of a accord or prelude. I do have all the parts to build this engine.

Sounds savage - does a b series head fit straight on or is there lots of playing around required? I've read some threads about these b20 blocks, some people rave about them and other don't think they can take the revs... guess it comes down to how well balanced it is? sorry to spam up your thread btw!

A b series head won't fit, it's an H series block. The H2B he's referring to is s H series engine with a B series gearbox using an adaptor kit.

Exactly this I have all the parts to put this in a ek9 or dc2.

Oh I see, thanks for clearing that up man. Just out of interest, any idea how much heavier is a b20 than a b18?
