A great chance to meet people from the forum, test some skills and have a good travel in the weekend. Who enjoys the idea?

Cheers,

Sam

Im definately up for that. Been to a few go karting tracks, I recommend rye house for some outdoor fun but its a bit expensive. Can also recommend Capital Karts which is indoor but their karts are very good, track is also really good. A lot more cheaper then rye house too.

Would be nice get mote people yes. I have been in Rye House as well :) Capital karts i get always top 10 of the week. Buckmore in Maidstone what you think?

Never been to buckmore before but i've heard good things about it. I always get top 10 of the week too haha. BTW, when was the most recent time you've gone to capital karts? Am i right in thinking that theyve changed one of the corners on the track?

i own and run my own kart against my friends and its loads of fun! where was you looking at organising something?

indoor karting shouldnt be taken seriously as they run the 4 stroke honda engines which kick out 6hp and the heavier people are penalised badly especially on acceleration out of slower corners

the fastest arrive and drive karts hire karts you can drive is at daytona in milton keynes, they are rotax juniors and have around 10hp, heavy people are still penalised but not as bad as it is on the indoor karts

the best indoor track is run by teamsport in warrington

In Buckmore you can pick 13.5hp 390cc 4 stroke

id be happy to come up to buckmore for a thrash, depends on day tbh

my kart is a tkm and its 20bhp

Is it not far from you? I tried one time Buckmore completely wet in slicks with 28 grid. 2 stroke is other stuff :) i have never driven on 2 stroke. This track is very fast, great to feel it in the limit.

YES there was a change! after turn number... 4, you get the fast one to the left that goes to a wide right. Last time i was there i found they put a chicane in slippery surface i just told "what the F*** is this!? Works on the road at this time!!?? :eek2:needed to apply brakes, locked them, then unlocked, then locked, then unlocked and done lots of fast corrections and tyres doing noise and, fortenately no barriers touched :notbad: with other very tight R turn just after..

It takes around 1,5 more second each lap i guess. If you really think coming over here tell me before. I want to improve my times and see your nines hehe

I dont own a 2 stroke, but there are some enduro challenges around Buckmore, capital KArts, maybe Rye House. After we know each others and get in touch maybe we can join a enduro afterwards.

Probably you should be the one that knows better how to organise something mate ;-)

depends how much you guys want to pay and how far you are willing to travel tbh

but lets see if there is more interest first then we can looking into seriously organising

Went to capital karts yesterday. 2nd best of the week and got my fastest time of 74.221. Still too slow for me, I need to get faster. The fastest of all time was 71. There was a full party of 18 people, I reckon I could cut my time down by a second if there was less people on track. I was stuck behind a idiot for 3 laps cos he wouldn't let me pass..

Itching to go again soon. I need to break the 73 second mark. If anyone else is interested we should definately organise something.

Daytona in MK have the DMAX 2 stroke karts if your after that sorta thing... silly quick 125 rotax engines.

the only other ones I've done are Buckmore, Rye House and Capital karts... indoor is good fun on a budget but if you want to go balls out it needs to be outdoor really

I'd be up for session though :)

I agree. Out door is where its at but indoor is also good for budget fun which is all I can fork out for the next few months, the teg is eating all of my money!
