Hi all.

I'm George 24 from Portsmouth. Technician for Volkswagen, built a few cars in my time. You may have seen the DC5 on YouTube a couple times.

I recently sold the DC5. Always fancied an EK9 and after looking at 3 very bad condition ones, this one came up for sale in Sheffield. Being a new import and having 1 previous owner It started to tick the boxes. I then took the trip up to view it and drove it home a couple hours later. The car then went away in storage for a couple months as I have an EK4 Track Car i need to shift. It also gave me a chance to change a couple things to my taste.

Here it is upon collection -

First thing I did was remove the spoiler brackets and bonnet raisers. Fitted some Rota Slips and Nankang NS2R tyres. The car had a custom catback already fitted but I didn't quite like it, it also droned a bit to so swapped that for a Fujibitsu catback and some power flex exhaust hangers.

Next we decided to take the interior out and give it a full wet vac. Made a massive difference to what I already considered a clean interior. While the seats were out I wasn't overly happy with the original seating position of the stock rails, so I got some DC2 rails at a bargain price. They made a big difference and I'm really happy with the seating position now.

Nice ek9,
I've edited your post for you using some of the photobucket IMG codes so people can see the pictures easily

Not a bad car history! What do you have planned for the 9?

Nice looking 9 mate. Remember seeing your DC5 on Monkey London's channel. How come you sold it then?

Bet it's weird driving an N/A 1.6 vs the Boosted K series! Haha

I'm only over in Havant, so will keep an eye out for ya. :)

Thanks. Not to much to be honest it will be staying Na for the moment and hoping to do some track days.

Thanks Simon.

I got offered a lot of money for it mate. Some millionaire from London owns it now.
You'd think it's strange, but the only thing iv learnt from have those big powered cars is the more horse power you have, the more unreliable and the more expensive it gets. And that's talking from experience.

When I first jumped in the ek9 I can promise you I hadn't had that much fun in a long long time. The Dc5 was savage, would light the wheels in 3rd and that's on 245 AD08 tyres. There's just so much going on and happening, you forget to enjoy yourself.
