This is a hard thread for me to write, I've not considered selling the EK until recently... I always intended to keep this car forever, but it's just not viable really is it. This was my first car.. I've owned it just shy of 7 years now. I've poured so much hard work, time and money into this car, I will be sad to see it go!

This EK is far from perfect condition, it's a little rough around the edges. The paint is matt black (though professional sprayed in a booth). It has been built to be enjoyed and it has been! I'll be honest with why I'm selling... I feel it's time to move on, I rarely use it anymore, though I have kept it MOT'd, taxed and insured. I miss my turbo, and have considered turboing this engine on and off since before it was fitted, but I know that this would bring more hassle, and I can't justify spending anymore money on it. It also would be a shame to turbo it when the car is perfect as it is, it's fast and fun and works. I also am very busy now with my film career and also starting my masters degree soon, due to this I just haven't had the time for it.

The K20 was professionally installed by Endless Horizon Motorsport, and tuned by TDI North in combination with the breather modifications to make 255bhp and 185lb/fb, which isn't shy to say the least. I have since then had a custom full 3" exhaust system made by ituned which sounds and looks lovely, and should have freed up a bit more power.

The engine is on around 45k, having around 40k when fitted at Endless Horizon Motorsport. The chassis is on around 130k. This car has been through quite a build, I bought it near stock, and have since driven it with 6 different engines- it has had D series N/A and turbo, B series N/A and turbo and K series- I've pretty much tried them all. The chassis has been solid though, I've never had any problems with rust, it has never been in any collisions. I have owned it since 2005.

For this price the car will come with 2 sets of wheels, 16" Rota Grids on Toyo R888 tyres (low tread, ok for track), 15" Rota Grid Drifts on Toyo T1R tyres (plenty of tread, ideal for road use). It will also come with lots of parts including carbon side skirts (not fitted, but the ones fitted when it was green), 6 point Cusco rollcage, carbon fibre Spoon style spoiler etc. I even have my broken Spoon diffuser still etc.

Few down points... the car smokes a bit at low revs, but on full throttle is completely fine, I believe this is to do with the valve seals taking a hammering. The flocking on the dash has worn in some places. The paintwork is far from perfect, matt black stains quite easily, but to be honest I haven't tried cleaning it properly haha, so will see how well it cleans up.

I have a LOT of photos, so if you have any requests of anything then just ask.

Videos:

250bhp+ EK Civic on track at Japfest 2011 - YouTube

This car is very fast, being around 260bhp and last weighing in at 980kg, it pulls sub 5 second 0-60's and sub 9.5 seconds to 100. What this EK deserves is someone willing to upgrade some suspension parts, fit the roll cage (supplied) and then give it some much needed track time!

For more information about the build and previous states, along with hundreds of photos, please refer to my build up thread:

Or my build up thread on civiclife.net which is more detailed:

Please give me a PM if you have any questions or offers.

Ahh, I have tracked it! I'm literally so busy for the rest of the year I don't have time to- I'll be in a different country every other weekend, so right now I don't even have time to think about getting to a track day or event!

I would love to keep it around forever, but I can't afford to keep three cars haha.

Ahh man don't sell!! :( amazing car!

I think it's reasonably priced. I'm sure potential buyers will understand the spec and work put into this car. Cheers, I hope the next owner enjoys it as much as I have!

Haha ah man, don't say these things! It has been a hard choice for me to make, but I'm not turning back. I'll have to make sure I replace it with something epic so I don't regret selling it!

Nice spec but I think you may struggle to get 8k for this..

Dunno if you seen it but Rota put a picture of this on their facebook earlier today.

Get in and mention its for sale and link the add... Good publicity!

Best of luck with the sale.

Willing to let it go for £7500 without the extras (second set of wheels, roll cage, spare parts etc). This is a lot of car for £7500 - although Lee is offended by the aero.
