Hi All

so all of the ek9s are 20+ years old at this stage and obviously they won’t feel as tight a drive as they did rolling out of the factory.

What has everyone done to tighten up / freshen up the ride feeling, engine, gearbox, suspension and steering etc a bit ?

im after getting polybushes , gear linkage bushings and new coilovers but looking for some more inspiration .

anyone have anything else done to freshen up the drive ?

I'm in the same position as you. Mines all either original or OEM (when original worn out) but I don't fancy polybushes only because it'll make it a lot harsher I believe. Really don't want to make it crashy or too stiff as otherwise it'll not be enjoyable for a b road blast.

If you arent quite looking to go as stiff as poly bushes. i would recommend the hard race stiff rubber bushings not quite as hard as poly bushes but not quite as soft as oem. Fairly nice to drive on Tegiwa have most for sale. Also on my daily driver which is soon to be k swapped i have got a set of the BC BR coil overs because of the adjustable dampening i think you could make it soft enough that it would ruin your weekend B road blast etc. Give me a shout if you need any more info.

Replacing the bushes made a huge difference to my civic, well worth doing. It'll remove some of that 'play' that comes with ages
