Forza 4-ek9 cup-chat only

Did anyone else have voices breaking up? My connection was fine in the warm up races with Jim and Sambo but went to pot in the main race.

Yeah this seem to happen with the lads in Ireland for some reason, I could hear everyone else fine (this happens everytime we have race iirc)

Quality Race!!! Gutted About the un-repairable damage 3laps in on the Big one tho, Took 4 seconds off every lap not having a front bumper at all! Didn't think it would make such a difference.

Good races afterwards too :nice: I need to learn Hockenhiem!!

Question.....Keep damage on or not? this will always be the split......people out front will say no and the people at back and middle caught in carnage will say yes.....

I was at least 2-3 secs off qualify time with "SOME" aero damage, and i never left the track once :wtf: and that was me starting 4th :nono:

Also, i always get rapped at the start, what am i doing wrong? :nono:

Well I say keep it on, otherwise there's no incentive to avoid a pile up, no-one's out to maliciously screw up anyone else's race after all. I'd seriously recommend practising crash avoidance a bit on the public races, it makes a big difference. If you're in a long race with a lot of cars on a tight course then it pays to hang back on the first couple of corners, take a wide a line and generally get well out of the way of everyone else. If everyone goes piling into the racing line on the first corner at full chat with cold tyres then there's going to be mayhem!

I kept damaging my splitter missing the apex on the left hander after the uphill section and clipping the armco, every time it made the next lap a bit worse and let Jimbob pull that little extra distance, eventually I just had to slow down to prevent any further damage!

I say leave it on for the reason Dan has stated below & that ant me being bias as it was me that F'ed up on our last race & ended up just watching instead.:drive:

Practice your launches before a race!:secret:

Totally agree with you on this Dan:nice:
Yeah we seemed to keep the same distance for around 10 laps, one lap I gained time & the next I lost time!

Shame Garrys logged him out 1 lap from the end:angry: but it handed me the win so I won't complain!:p

Garry we will just class that as your handycap for the season!

You could always keep damage on full but turn collisions with other cars off so its purely down to skill but then if you do go of into a wall you will pay the price! But atleast it gives everyone a fighting chance

Then it wouldn't be a race, we might as well to compete on HOT laps if we were to do that.

Yep, as they say, 'Rubbin's racin'! With damage/collisions off it just becomes a time attack style race. It's as much about avoiding other cars as it is nailing the lines and getting the fastest times.

Nothing to say Jim, myself and Ragman won't get taken out in the first lap of the next race, and everyone else might get a good one, so I'm sure the luck will even out over the season. I also bet Gary will still win overall despite his unfortunate exit from last nights race! :D

I'm all for time attack style events but it's not the same, you can do that single player.

What did we decide points wise for finishers?

I'd say leave it how it is BUT change the collision option so that you turn to a ghost if you spin or stop etc.

I deffinatly got lucky I went from 5th to 3rd with no collision and koz was quicker than me so I let him past after a few laps as he kept gaining. Deffinaly keep it as it is or it's not really a good championship

Yeah definately keep it as it is, Yeah the damage absolutely screwed my race, But Thats part of the fun, Keeping your car in its prime etc!! :) Good for the next one!!

Ok just wanted to put it out there..... I need to research starts........ must be some gearing alterations can do :p

Its a conspiracy!! I tell you!!! dropped out to the main menu on the second last lap! Got an xbox live error code but was too angry to take the time to read it! lol Hopefully thats the first and last time it happens to me!

As for the race it was really good fun, the qualifying was good to get a grid organised for the main race is it possible to set crashed cars or stopped cars to ghost? might help prevent that madness at the first corner. Another thing to note is give your opponents plenty of room as that will avoid the glitchy hit detection and stop people bouncing around the course! ;) Also if your lapping someone its handy to let them know what side your going round on, that way they can leave you some room and not upset the race too much...

^^^^ ghe picture says it all :run:

I am sure you will make it up :nice:

Info topic updated with the results and the next race....last one this year :p
