...just thinking out loud really, any gains to be had from this (B18C SiR already has S2 Pro Intake Mani which obviously couldnt be swapped over).

Have a mint B16B head lying around and just trying to work out whether I should sell or consider fitting it to the SiR engine if there are decent gains to be had.

Of course it will fit, but the gains wont be massive at all, a few BHP if your lucky, if any.

Sorry, very unproductive post, I would personally say sell it and buy some cams and uprate the valve train !! You will see more productivity that way *thumbs up*

I know it will fit... just asking if the Gains are worth it? Which by the sound of it they aren't...

i think you should sell it and get some money out of it to be honest

Its a waist of time and effort mate. If it was a all out racer i'd say yes, but for avarage road car no. Just sell it and spend the money elsewhere.....(like a turbo kit...Wooooooooo)

you'll lose compression doing that swap. keep ur own head and inlet mani and take the ek9 cams and get it mapped.

But you'd gain better swirl which would counteract that compression lose. The truth is he will probably gain power BUT the amount will be that small it just wouldnt be worth it.

i think it`s the usdm gsr, marketed as sir in Japan.has the same b18c code and uses the p72 ecu and different intake manifold as well.

Pretty much - the SiR makes and extra 8bhp i believe though :)

I'm not going to do it... and why would you loose compression?!

because a b16a,b16b and b18c R has a slightly larger combustion chamber than a b18c sir head... ur better of just puttin a skunk 2 intake anf type r cams:nice:

have the same engine put a Sk2 intake Mani on it and noticed a difference was quicker and put ITR cams in and the two went well together

You would loose compression but its only a VERY tiny amount  I'm a fan of the C4 (gsr) head, i'm actually going to be using it for my turbo B16 build.
