Serious respect on the project, nice to see all those parts going in....

Can't wait to get my hands on a hatch, will be within a month i think, and then its searching for a type r bodykit.....

A really different ek9, love it, keep up the good work and make sure the photos keep coming

wow - long time ago since my last update :(
due to im not a millionaire and i needed some vacation there didn't happen many updates within the last few weeks. specially those "visible" updates where not many :)

anyway here are some good news:
1) i got my exhaust system road legal (noise measurement)
with much of steel-wool insode (big loss of power and hot engine!!) i got it exactly to the 74dB under foll throttle i needed to get it street legal.
now i can have 97dB at power-down (full throttle with clutch pressed, and then lift throttle, hope you understand what i mean, it's complicated in switzerland with that *g*)

2) i also made the exhaust emission check (first part of two) and everything was ok!

3) got some documents needed for getting it road legal here (exhaust emission documents)

4) also had some weight-measurement with the car. at the moment it got exactly 1100 Kg with full tank, without any Load oder persons inside!! gr8 :)

5) also due to we have LHD cars only in switzerland i had to change the headlights, i got some new EK4 headlights and got the painted in EK9 style by my friend Mr. Petrolhead! thanks again for your great work!!
they've allready been mounted, but i dont have any pics of that yet!

that's it - there will be a tiny parts update soon, and im also working hard for getting the second exhaust emission test done, so i can get the car on the streets and track - where it belongs :)

cool.... i´m going to be the first in sweden with a ek9 in about 2 weeks:clap: i have a couple things to do to get it road legal to but i think i´´s going to be a little easier course it is going to be registered in the UK first.. your car looks great by the way:nice: cant wait to get to get my 2000 rx:clap:

hälsningar till sverge da :) min mamma är svensk ock jag brukar vara där varje sommarlov (nära västeràs) :) sorry for my bad swedish :) EK9 är heftigt ock jag ska aldrig ge bort den igen :p

häftigt..... jag bor i Stockholm ca 200km ifån västrås..... ta med dig din bil nästa gång så träffas vi!:nice:

due to my car isn't road legal yet it will be hard to come to sverge with it yet :)

but maybe we'll meet some day!

hälsningar ifràn schweiz -Nils

is it hard to get it road legal in Switzerland? did you buy it directly from Japan? I will get mine registered and svad in England first so the only thing i have to do is weigh it, change head lights supply papers so "vägverket" can se that the car isn´t stolen and register it....

yeah, i bought it in Tokio and shipped it from yokohama to bremerhaven myself :)

for registration i need to do this:
1) do the noise measurement (i've cleared that with my toda/sard/tanabe system *g*)
2) do the normal emission measurement @ a honda garage
3) do the Euro-2 (in case of an euro2 car) emission measurement
4) have a lot of documents and information about the car to get it registered.
5) change the headlights for LHD

now i've done allmost everything but i just need a special docuent for the latest emission test, and then i can go and get the car registered. but that fu*king docuemt is hard to get, because nobody knows who can make those papers :) anyway, im working hard on it and i believe it will need some hours at the phone and some emails again to get t his. luckily Honda switzerland is giving great support to me and i hope those can help me with the missing papers (sadly the japanese export certificate is not accepted in switzerland :()

im working on my registration almost a year now, but i don't hurry that much because im very busy at the moment..

haha, yeah, but i've been driving it a lot without registration (in switzerland you can "rent" 4-day numberplates for cars without registration...)

lol..... i´m definently going to drive mine to before registration... i´ve just ordered som headlights to, what kind of color did you use when you painted them?
