Quite light, don't you think? I've created a thread about lightened flywheels because I've been thinking seriously to replace my stock one, but still im collecting info :) Stock EK9 flywheel weights about 12 lbs and what most people say is that its a perfect match with EK9. Installing an extremely lightened flywheel you might have serious side effects like drivability problems, vibrations, the more abruptly your rpm go up, the same way drop, hence your engine might stall in traffic etc... But a lighter flywheel of about 10 lbs normally will cause no problems :nice:

i agree,i believe in a 1.6 you should not use a very light flywheel, except if its going to be for track use only.

I see, i was told the same thing from my mechanic, that he recommends one of 10 - 12 lbs, are you 100 % sure the stock one weights 12 lbs? i think it weights 14 lbs :)

BTW which aftermarket b series flywheel weights 10 pounds ? TODA right?

thanks for your help guys, i'm getting and n1 crank pulley today! hehehe

Be carefull with the crank pulley!!! Be sure who touches your crank!!:nerv:
Some ended up having a tasty cracker in their engine because of that

hey.i have just instaled a fidanza 7.5lb flywheel and i find it ok .the revs rev up really fast but when you let off the clutch the revs drop really quick but it hasnt cut out.the revs drop to about 500rpm but go back to normal.changing gears in normal mode can be a bit jumpy depending on how slow you change gear.but i think it is gud piece of kit.:)

ok, why did you start a thread if your going to keep your same opinion? i already told you your car will NOT stall, you will NOT have vibration problems!! please dont spread incorrect info if you have not tried the part. you are wrong. the only side affect is the quick rpm drop below shifts, if you shift slow shifting becomes jerky, THATS ALL. please stop listing other side effects that dont exist.

sorry if im being rude i just find it frustrating when i tell someone the truth about something and they disregard it.

wow thats kind of expensive, did tha include shpping?

how much do you sell these shipped? :nerv: :nerv:

probably something like $190-200 US plus shipping, rvm if im shipping to your US address shipping would be ~$15 with insurance/tracking etc...

what is the lightest flywheel available? i heard there was a 6lbs flywheel? is there any truth to this?

never heard of one that light, that just seems too light! im honestly kind of regretting my 8lb :( i think i'll put my stock ctr one back on during my next clutch job, only becuase i have an n1 pulley aswell so my revs just drop so damn fast i fear i may fall out of boost between shifts.

keep in mind im lazy and shift very slow, rvm i dont think you understand how lazy i am trust me, i shift slower than a girl! for your car, that is track oriented i think a lightweight fly and N! pulley would be an amazing combo with your comptech race exhuast. the only time i get tired of my car is in traffic (which it rarely sees) when i track the car i shift fast and i love every mod:nice:

I understand you anger blinx and I really have no intention to misinform people, believe me :). I'm sure you are satisfied with this mod, that's why, but the reason why I mentioned vibrations and engine stall is because I've seen people complaining about these problems. Now what you say based on your experience makes me think that most probably they did bad job for having these problems :)
I've created the thread because I have been thinking to replace mine and I want to hear others opinions to collect additional information building upon the info already collected from people complained or not, supposingly that what I've heart its true. So since you insist, I'm not going to mention again things you say are wrong concerning flywheels. :nice: Happy? :nerv:

yes im happy, but also keep in mind its not just my car that ive done this to, my shop has been installing lightweight flywheels on hondas since 1996 weve never had a vibration problem or a vehicle stall :nice:

i dont mind if you post that and your the one having a problem, but like you said, some people may have installed the part wrong, or might have other problems. its just ashame to see someone not buy a part that is actually good. cheers.
