Hi all, I've recently decided to break my Ek9 project and I would like one of the above 3 cars next. My budget is around £12k but could increase for the right car. Evo 9's and R34's are unfortunately out of my budget though.

I would like people's opinions, any help is appreciated! I'm looking to buy around March '16 it will be mostly just be used on weekends, covering 100 miles a week at most.

My first choice would be an R32 GTR!

100% a fresh Import R32 GTR

I have owned various Type-R models (not an FD2 though) , a 330bhp EVO VIII, 2 x E46 M3s, Turbo VAG cars etc

BUT... the most fun car I have owned was an R32 GTST that I bought for a track car then ended up selling it after missing a good Honda for the track. If I was to buy another car for the road then the R32 GTR would be at the top of my list. The skyline with coilovers was easier to live with and more comfortable on the road than any of my Hondas and the whole feel of the car was very special not to mention the noise of the RB straight-6!!

Good GTR's are only going up in price too

Defiantly r32 gtr out of the list. Love fd2s but a gtr is epic. There is a member on here with a white on you should take a look absolutely beautiful example. And as above the sound is unreal

R32 GTR would be a good move.

Problem with a evo or skyline is costs, maintenance, reliability. With a honda you can give it death and not worry about it, with the others it's always on the back of you're mind.

Had a r32 gtr for 18 months, really disappointed with it. You can,t drive one quick round country lanes like a Honda and they are mega expensive to run and maintain properly.

Going by the experiences of my cousin and closest friend, R32s require a fair bit of maintenance and running costs are high. Preventative maintenance is key and you'll need to be on top of a lot of things. Otherwise unbelievable machine and quite a driver's car too.

If you're looking to keep running costs low and want ultimate reliability then you won't go wrong with the FD2! Might have to stretch a little budget wise as FD2s are commanding decent money.

Thanks for all the advice guys! I appreciate it.

I'm still undecided but I'm swaying towards an Evo or FD2, I'm viewing a FD2 tomorrow and thinking about a TME Evo 6 from SVA Imports

A red TME is the ultimate Evo, IMO. They've appreciated a fair bit.
