Just to warn people of the problems i have had with these tyres (205-50-15).

Fitted them to my dc2 about a 1000miles ago, they have had light use as I have been running the engine in, but all 4 tyres have started to come apart!!!

Hope this helps

Cheers
Matt

It's not a cut , the tyres are delaminating, some R26 owners are having the same problem.

That shouldn't be happening on a tyre with that mileage, you pay for what you get I sopose but AD08s are great tyres.

Great just my luck :( I have just bought a set of these because I couldnt afford a set of R888's I hardly think the you get what you pay for rule applies here at £80 a tyre you wouldnt expect that from £55 road tyres let alone a "track/road tyre"

Where from?! I cant find any at all :*

Cam skill had eight in stock Tuesday. (195/55 r15)
I ordered four and there sitting next to me now :)

They may still have the other four?
Or msc52 might have beat you too it.

Yokohama aren't expecting anymore for a month +.

Could just be a one off. I've a set of these that got a fair amount of hard driving and they still look the best.

i have the toyo r1-r and they are great !!!
less roadnoise than r888 and better in the rain

I have heard great reveiws on these tyres, so what happend to me could just be a bad batch, would have bought these again if not for the problems because they do grip well in the wet and dry.

Yeah I shall run them and keep a close eye on them to see how it goes I’ve done alot of searching and seems to be far more good experiences than bad so far. Just looks like some people have just been unlucky which is a shame.

Ill post back here in while with my findings, tyres should be here this afternoon and ill be driving at Coombe next week, Brands Next month and then the Ring June/July so ill give them a thorough test.

i took a set of these to the ring last year and gave them a heard time, didnt skip a beat

I heard there was a fire in a federal factory last year and a large quantity of these tyres where binned. Maybe those where some of the batch affected???

Sh*t happens man... Least your getting a refund :)

Bump an old thread, but i had the exactly the same problem with my federal 595 rsrs, happend after 10 laps of the nurburgring, tyres had less that 1k miles on them.

You've had a bad experience for one reason or another. I'm on my second set of these (had them in both 15" & 17") and they have never skipped a beat. Great tyres.
