Faulty Federal 595 rs-r

Had this problem with 2 out of the 4 I got for my dads dc2, 200 light miles, basically made a complaint, had to fill in a complaint to form to federal themselves, agreed that if the damage was his fault we would have to pay for the two new tyres they sent out for us, after 3 weeks or so of sending the tyres back (courier exchange) our claim was accepted.

To be honest, the slight de-lamination seems very common with tyres as it started happening with the other two on the car.

I've run these for a few years now and never had a fault.

Ye thing is that where great tyres, managed to get 6,000 miles out of them on the front. But obv the fault was worrying. Seems hit and miss with people getting the same de lamination problems.

On my 3rd set of these now, never had a problem with them, think there a great tyre.
Know of atleast 4 other mates who have all used them daily and on the track without problems too! :nice:

Bumping this thread up again. I have had exactly the same problem with these. The two fronts have began to split after a months or so use.

I rang camskill who I bought them off and they said federal would have to investigate as weather the tires were used and heat cycled correctly to determine weather or not I will get the tires replaced.

I'm just wondering has everybody else in this thread went through the same process and how long did it take?

I had it and kept going...never created any issues beyond a crack in the surface. Its whats known as a weld line in plastic moulding, and its where the two flow fronts meet as the tyre is moulded, and dont fully connect together.

That's fine when they were cheap (but still would not expect it) you will not beat buying your tyres from one of the big names yokohama etc .
