just posting this thread up to find out what peoples opinions are on the exhaust systems you have run.. I usually go for the Buddyclub Pro spec as it seems to be a very good for flow and power. what are you running? and how do you find it day to day.. maybe post up the reasons you bought that specific system, price, power, sound ETC. cheers

I had a spoon n1 system on my ek9, with the stripped out rear interior is was a loud enough system for day to day use but you soon get used to it :D I like that is was slightly louder than some but noting like the buddyclub systems. I got it for a good price too..

I do like the spoon N1 its one of the nicer looking back boxes, and does sound awesome. have you had the car dyno'd with it on? I had a spoon manifold back system on my EK9 and the car felt very responsive and wanted to go.. I never had it dyno'd though shame really

I have a J's Racing 60RR and a J's Racing n1. Both are manifold back exhausts and very loud...especially with a stripped interior haha It was a friends teg that made me fall in love with J's Racing years back and I knew when I got a Type R I'd get one. The car had a HKS Hi-Power on it when I bought it that was falling apart...literally!... but I changed it for the 60RR. I noticed a little better response, a more aggressive crossover and it seemed to rev a little easier from 7-9k rpm.

An n1 system came up for sale second hand and I had to get it because I think there's only a couple more in the country. With the n1 system fitted the car made 178.6bhp and 154nm with permanent hearing damage :nerv: Had a 3 inch intake and a J's manifold for the run too.

I love the J's systems because they're loud but they have a nice tone to them too...not just rasp. The 60RR has more of a higher pitch than the n1 but the n1 is louder. Daily driving would probably give most people a headache but I love the sound...wouldn't change them for any other system!

is the 60RR just a pipe similar to the buddyclub spec 2 or is that the 70RR? I do fancy a J's, always said id buy one

There's a silencer just before the tail pipe but that all. The 70RR only has one silencer too but it's on the b-pipe instead. This is a picture of my 60RR (sorry if the pic doesn't load correctly...haven't been on this in a while)

:eek2:THAT must be crazy loud James. how is it in the car while driving.. the spec2 I had on my ek9 was silly while driving but my car only had two seats in it and nothing else at the time

I have j's racing 60 rr and sound great, but even my friend have a Buddyclub spec1 exhaust system and is good :)

I'm a big fan of the Spoon N1 system myself, I have heard a J's 60rs on the track and personally didn't like the tone of it compared to the N1 but that's only my opinion

I like the higher pitched nearly motorbike sound that a full N1 system makes

The quality of the Spoon system is very high. This will be different to the titanium J's systems but my DC5 had a genuine J's 60RS axle back exhaust.... the piping was badly rusted, the tail pipe also had pitting from what looked like surface rust and the baffles were not great at all

Ha it's quite loud yeah. I like it that way though. I have mine stripped out too and some people hate even being in the passo seat on a short drive. I have some videos on my youtube channel if you want to hear it because I spent a long time trying to find sound clips before I bought mine but there was hardly anything there. I made it my business to put up some decent clips :))

Really? Never heard a full Spoon system tbh so I cant compare but my J's system has a nice pitch to it I think. I've heard a few people give about the titanium J's systems alright. Very brittle apparently. I've had my J's 60RR about a year now and it's still in perfect condition...but I tend to mind my car a bit too much so could be just me haha

My DC5 came with the j's exhaust so I cant comment on how it was looked after and no telling how old it was
