Hello,

Building a Civic EG to race, It already has 5x114 hubs and I have a pair of premier EP3 calipers laying around from my old EP3 I was thinking of getting refurbished and using them as I guess the 300mm disc size would help me with heat dissipation and some extra braking torque?. It's not a big budget build by any means but small wins like this would always help.

So I was wondering if these will fit, for example an EK9/UDKM DC2 and what will need modified, I've read about 3mm spacers, shaving/milling calipers etc... Can't find much in the way of a definitive guide though.

Any real life experience would be appreciated.

Cheers
Kris

On my old ej9. I had re drilled Accord type r disc (to 4x100) if i remember correctly using ep3 calipers. mounted straight up. i didnt have any spacing issues. Ran it for a few months before i sold the car in pieces.

Only thing i had to do was shave the caliper slightly so they would fit under my 15inch wheels. maybe took a mm of. it did knock off my wheel weights at first which i then moved it to the inside of the wheel. Braking was mental.

Now I Run wilwoods on my ek9 which will be replaced soon for bigger calipers

I run ep3 calipers with redrilled 4x100 discs on my boosted ek, I too had to shave the calipers to fit under 15" wheels

Thanks for advice guys, sounds like it’ll not be a bad job if I can get some wheels to fit.

Nice to see older members still active and the forum being used :D

Iirc you might have to put the driver caliper on passenger side and passenger on drivers

Cheers for input, but seems more of a mission on 5stud EK9/DC2 and will share my research:

+EP3 calipers will bolt on, but it seems the hub will need milled down where the caliper mounts. 2-3mm maybe?

+Discs - EP3 discs will need the CB increased from 64.1mm - 70mm

+Caliper shaved on front edges to clear most 15” alloys

Seems an easier job on the 4x100 stuff where you can get away with drilling EP3 discs to 4x100 and spacing disc?

+ATR calipers are a simple way to get 300mm & twin pots. ATR discs and 3mm washers to space caliper. But these are expensive these days ! Would be talking £500 along with PBS pads & something like MTEC discs.
